Continuing their winning run, India defeated New Zealand by 12 runs in the first ODI. India dominated the game from ball one until Michael Bracewell decided to spoil the party for the team. He almost pulled off a remarkable win for New Zealand with a brilliant century, but India held their nerves to win the game.
Apart from Bracewell’s knock, it was all India during the match. Shubman Gill scored a brilliant double-century to help India post a daunting 349-8 before Siraj’s 4-fer rattled the Kiwi top order.
The wicket will be a good one to bat. Indore is one of the high-scoring venues in India and anything less than 300 in the first innings will be hard to defend.
The weather will be clear and sunny. The temperature will range between 27 and 11 degrees.

There is not much difference between teams when it comes to head-to-head records.

Shubman Gill was on fire in the first game and showed his class by whacking a blistering double century. Gill is going all guns blazing in ODIs with three centuries in just 19 games and is one of the most promising youngsters going around.
Virat Kohli missed out in the first game but he has been in great form with three centuries in the last five outings. Kohli is back to his very best so we can expect another big inning from the veteran player.
Conway failed in the first game but he is a remarkable player and a lot of Kiwi hopes rest on his shoulders, especially in the absence of Kane Williamson.
Continuing his dream run, Mohammed Siraj rattled the Kiwi top order and picked 4 wickets in the first game to play a significant role in India’s win.
New Zealand were headed to a massive defeat in the first match before Bracewell stood up and took New Zealand close to India’s target. Bracewell scored 140 runs in just 78 balls to turn the game on his head. He is also a handy option with the ball so a worthy player to select.
