India Capitals have played one game but the result didn’t go their way. They lost to Gujarat Giants by three wickets. They will be looking to get their first win of the tournament against Bhilwara Kings. Players like Hamilton Masakadza, Jacques Kallis, Ashley Nurse give them good batting options while Mitchell Johnson, Liam Plunkett, Pankaj Singh and very good bowlers available to them.
Meanwhile, Bhilwara Kings won their first game against Manipal Tigers by three wickets after they chased the target of 154. In Naman Ojha, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Tanmay Srivastava, Matt Prior, they have a strong batting lineup while Tino Best, Fidel Edwards, Monty Panesar form a good bowling attack
Not a lot of cricket has been played in Lucknow but a few international matches were played here last year. The surface is generally very good to bat and bowlers are likely to toil hard in the game. Neither the pacers, nor spinners get much help from the flat deck.
There is an 80 per cent chance of rain on the match day. The humidity will be 92 per cent and the temperature will be around 30 degrees.
Jacques Kallis (c), Solomon Mire, Hamilton Masakadza, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Ashley Nurse, Suhail Sharma, Liam Plunkett, Mitchell Johnson, Pankaj Singh, Pawan Suyal, Rajat Bhatia, Praveen Gupta, Pravin Tambe

A few players are also part of the Road Safety Series thus there is no clarity about the players available for this match. As of now, we believe that the teams will play the same set of players with one or two changes at most.
Wicketkeeper | Denesh Ramdin, Naman Ojha |
---|---|
Batters | Hamilton Masakadza, Tanmay Shrivastava, William Porterfield |
All-rounders | Yusuf Pathan (VC), Irfan Pathan (C), Ashley Nurse |
Bowlers | Mitchell Johnson, Fidel Edwards, Pravin Tambe |
Yusuf Pathan has been in staggering form. He scored a match-winning 50 in a Road Safety Series match and scored 44 against Manipal Tigers as well. Pathan is a very good selection given what we have seen of him in the last few games, he is a top player to have in the team.
Irfan Pathan is another player who has been in top form. Pathan also has played a couple of good hands with the bat in Road Safety Series and because he is a bowler too, there are chances of him picking wickets as well.
Ashley Nurse became the first centurion of the Legends League Cricket 2022 as he slammed 103 off 43 balls against Gujarat Giants. He hit nine sixes and eight fours in his knock. Later, with the ball in hand, he picked up 1 wicket giving away 21 runs. He is a good addition to the team.
Pravin Tambe had a good game against Gujarat Giants as he picked up three wickets for 28 runs. We are backing him to have another good outing as he has plenty of tricks in his armoury which can trouble the batters even in unhelpful conditions.
Fidel Edwards was in top form against Manipal Tigers and bowled a sensational spell of 30-4. He ran through the Tigers’ top order with an outstanding show of fast bowling. He will be a challenge for India Capitals’ batters.
