Guyana Amazon Warriors will face Barbados Royals in the Qualifier 1 of the CPL 2022. Barbados was without a doubt the best team of the league stage. They played 10 games and lost just two of them. All other teams were very inconsistent.
Guyana made it to the top two after they picked up some great momentum in their last few games. At one point, Guyana looked in trouble and were not even in contention to make it to the top 4. However, they won four consecutive games to book a berth in the Qualifier 1.
Guyana and Barbados met in the 30th match of the CPL and it was Guyana who defeated the table toppers by five wickets.
The surface in Guyana is a good wicket to play cricket. The batters will obviously enjoy more but pacers with the new ball and spinners as the ball gets soft will get some help. Bowlers who bowl tight lines and use variations will always be successful.
There is 40 per cent chance of rain interruption during the game. The humidity will in high 70s while temperature will hover around 25 degrees.

Rahkeem Cornwall, Kyle Mayers (c), Najibullah Zadran, Harry Tector/Corbin Bosch, Azam Khan, Jason Holder, Devon Thomas (wk), Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Joshua Bishop, Obed McCoy, Ramon Simmonds
We don’t think there will be too many changes in the Guyana team but Barbados will most likely bring back Corbin Bosch, who has had a terrific tournament.
Guyana has a better head to head record against Barbados Royals in the tournament.

The destructive Afghan batter can be key for Guyana Amazon Warriors. The addition of Gurbaz at the top has helped Warriors big way. Gurbaz is fresh from a brilliant 60 he scored against Trinbago Knight Riders thus he is a solid pick for us.
Kyle Mayers has had a terrific tournament with the bat. He has played a significant role in Royals’ success. He is the third highest run scorer of the tournament with 311 runs in 10 games. Additionally, he has taken a few wickets as well.
Shakib Al Hasan has been a terrific addition to the Guyana team and has won two back to back Man of the match awards. Against Knight riders, he scored 35 runs and picked three wickets for 30 runs while against Royals, he scored 53 and picked a wicket for just 12 runs.
The Afghan spinner is a key player in the Royals team. He has bowled exceptionally well in the few games he has played. So far, he has taken eight wickets in just five games.
Obed McCoy has also enjoyed a decent tournament. He is the third highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 15 wickets in nine games. He is also a very good player to back for our fantasy team.
