Delhi Capitals is having a torrid run in the IPL 2023. The David Warner-led side has lost of their five games so far. The team now cannot afford to lose any more matches as that will be massive dent to their chances of reaching the playoffs.
Meanwhile, KKR have fared a bit better but they too cannot afford to lose a game at this stage. KKR with two wins in five matches are placed seventh on the points table.
The Kotla pitch has offered grip and turn to the spinners and batting against the slower bowlers won’t be easy. On a pitch like this, rotation of the strike will be key.
The weather will be cloudy with temperatures ranging between 33 and 24 degrees. The slight cloud cover will bring down the temperature a bit which has been on the higher side in Delhi in the last few days.

Venkatesh Iyer will be over the moon after scoring a brilliant century in the last game against Mumbai. Coming in as an impact player, Venkatesh Iyer has made a lot of good contributions to the KKR.
David Warner has been slammed for his slow knocks but the fact is that the lacklustre show by the top-order batters has not allowed him to break free. With DC in a miserable state, we may see Warner back to his best.
KKR captain Nitish Rana also returned to form with a 75 run knock against SRH and will be looking to ride on momentum and pick up some consistency as the tournament progresses. Rana’s form will be key for KKR.
Though not at his best, Narine is still a handy player to have. The spinner has bowled well in the tournament and has been very economical, even though he hasn’t got many wickets. But when you are bowling well, wickets are bound to come.
Axar Patel has arguably been DC’s best batter this season. Coming down the order, he has played some good knocks. Also on a surface like this, he can prove to be more than a handy bowler.
