India faced a shock loss to Bangladesh in the first match thus the remaining two games are a must-win for them to win the series. Indian batting had no answers to disciplined Bangladesh bowling as the team was bowled out for a mere 186. KL Rahul was the only batter who resisted the Bangladesh bowling and scored a brilliant 73.
The Indian bowling though pulled back the match brilliantly and reduced Bangladesh to 136-9 before a record 10th wicket partnership between Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman gave Bangladesh an unlikely win.
The surface in the first match was not easy to bat. It was a two-paced wicket where the ball was not coming on nicely. It was not easy to score against spinners as well as on off-pace deliveries. Once again, a similar wicket will be on display.
The weather will be bright and sunny and there are no chances of rain. The temperature will range in the mid-20s.
Litton Das (c), Anamul Haque, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Ebadot Hossain
Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed/Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Sen/Umran Malik
Bangladesh are likely to retain the same team while India may look to replace Kuldeep Sen with Umran Malik. Also, Axar Patel, if he is available, should play instead of Shahbaz Ahmed.
India have a clear lead over Bangladesh in head-to-head records and it is not a surprise.

KL Rahul batted beautifully in the first ODI, on a tough surface, and scored 73 runs to help India post a fighting total on board. Rahul was in full flow and played some crisp shots on his way to 73. He missed out on a century and his wicket triggered a collapse for India. Rahul will be eyeing a big score in the second ODI.
Virat Kohli is arguably the greatest batter in this format of the game. Kohli has shrugged off his lean patch and has been in good form of late. After a successful run in the T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli will be looking to get back his mojo in the ODIs as well.
Shakib Al Hasan is among the best all-rounders in world cricket. He is Bangladesh’s best batter and also the best bowler. While he didn’t score much in the first ODI, he broke the spine of Indian batting with a scintillating spell which saw him take 5 wickets for 36 runs.
Miraz won the Man of the Match award for his brilliant knock of 38 that saw him take Bangladesh over the line in the first ODI in the chase of 186. Miraz is also a very handy spinner that can be useful on these wickets so he is also a good player to back.
Mohammed Siraj is a wicket-taker for team India and he proved that when he picked 3 wickets in the last game and turned the game on his head. Siraj will be looking to back his performance with another good one.
