Their top four did a fantastic job in helping their team post 576. Ross Taylor was the standout batsman with 173 to his name and there is a good possibility they he could top-score in the second test. Skipper Williamson averages close to 50 in test cricket and the visitors will expect him to score a fifty at the least. New Zealand should be able to reach 450 if they can get three big innings from their top four.

Zimbabwe's bowlers were all over the place and none of them could make a mark in the last match. Seamer Chris Mpofu is in serious contention for the second test in hopes of bolstering the team's pace attack. Donald Tiripano and Michael Chinouya were the most disciplined of the lot and they seem to be the only ones who can put the Kiwi batsmen to the test. If they are able to run through New Zealand's top order at the start, Zimbabwe will give themselves an opportunity to restrict them to under 350.

Zimbabwe have never won a test match against New Zealand, be it at home or on the latter's turf. Zimbabwe has hosted 10 tests between the two sides of which seven have been won by the visitors and the rest being drawn. The Kiwis also hold an excellent test record at the Queens Sports Club with four wins and a draw in the five matches till date.

Our Prediction

Zimbabwe will have to come up with something special in this match if they are to have any chance at winning. The team is still reeling from the heavy defeat they received in the first test and the fact that most of their players are suffering from illness is only going to make matters worse for them.

New Zealand are clearly the stronger of the two teams and so we're predicting them to win the second test and complete a 2-0 clean sweep over Zimbabwe.
