Also since the conditions are expected to be better for batting during the first period of play, the team that wins the toss in this match is more likely to bat first.

Zim Team News
Zimbabwe have been dealt a major blow with in-form batsman Solomon Mire being ruled out of the ODI series due to a hip injury. The hosts are already missing the services of their fast bowler Kyle Jarvis who is nursing a thumb injury in addition to the five players - Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Brendan Taylor and Graeme Cremer – all of whom have continued to make themselves unavailable because of a conflict with their cricket board.
Zim Key Players
Zimbabwe will be counting on the likes of Hamilton Masakadza, Elton Chigumbura and Peter Moor to come up with strong batting performances. Masakadza is amongst the team's leading run-scorers in the 50-overs format and so is Chigumbura with 4178 runs which includes 2 centuries and 19 fifties. Blessing Muzarabani, with five wickets in four games, was the standout bowler for the hosts in the recent T20I tri-series involving Pakistan and Australia. He together with Tendai Chatara will be the main threats in this bowling lineup. Chatara has 73 wickets in 54 ODIs and he could trouble the Pakistani batsmen with his express pace.
Zim Team Form
Zimbabwe have been able to win just five out of the fifteen one-day internationals they have played so far this year. Their last ODI victory came earlier this year in March when they beat Ireland by 107 runs at the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier at Harare. Since then, they have suffered a four-wicket and a three-run defeat against the West Indies and the UAE respectively.

Pak Team News
Babar Azam has been included in Pakistan's 16-man squad for the ODI series and he is now ready to be back in action after having recovered from his wrist injury he had sustained on the tour of England. Pace bowler Junaid Khan and leg-spinner Yasir Shah have also found a place in the side after having recovered from their respective injuries. The visitors have also picked Asif Ali in order to strengthen their lower-middle order. Azhar Ali, owing to a string of below par performances, has been omitted from the squad.
Pak Key Players
Pakistan's batting strength resides mainly in Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Babar Azam and Sarfraz Ahmed. Fakhar was their most consistent batsman in the T20I tri-series with three fifties in five matches and the visitors will rely on him for a brisk start. Shoaib has hit the most ODI runs for the side from the current squad while Babar will be raring to get back amongst the runs after a long layoff. Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan and Yasir Shah form a lethal bowling attack for Pakistan. Amir was the pick of the lot in the tri-series with five wickets in three matches while Shadab who has 24 ODI scalps to his name will not be easy to score off.
Pak Team Form
After winning nine one-day internationals in a row, Pakistan's winning streak came to a shuddering halt with a 0-5 series loss in New Zealand against the hosts. That has been the only series they have played so far this year and most of those matches were lost by quite a big margin. Pakistan will now look to get back to the winning ways in this series against Zimbabwe.
Pakistan Predicted Playing 11
Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed (c/wk), Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Yasir Shah, Hasan Ali, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Amir
