The final game of the three-match ODI series between West Indies and India takes place on Wednesday at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad. Although India have already won 2-0, the series has been extremely close with India winning by three runs on Friday and two wickets on Sunday. Read on as we preview this fixture. This ODI gets underway at 09:30 local time.
West Indies were on top for plenty of periods of the game on Sunday and, although they were unable to turn this into a win, they are undoubtedly playing their best ODI cricket in a long time.

West Indies chose to bat first on Sunday after electing to bowl first on Friday. More teams have won at Port of Spain by batting first in recent times and we expect the captains on both sides to choose to bat first if they win the toss.

There was only one change for the hosts ahead of Sunday’s ODI with the injured Gudakesh Motie making way for fellow-spinner Hayden Walsh. Although the series has been lost, we expect West Indies to keep faith with the same XI as they target a victory.

Avesh Khan was awarded his first ODI cap ahead of the second game of the series and replaced Prasidh Krishna in the India XI. However, skipper Shikhar Dhawan went out of his way to praise the bowling of Krishna in the pre-match interview and there is every chance that the tall pacer will be recalled for this final game.
India have finished on the winning side in their last four games in this format. With some of their star players not playing in this series, they will be very pleased with the results.
