In three previous fixtures against Scotland U-19s, West Indies U-19s have won by 5 wickets, 301 runs and 7 wickets. Therefore, they will arrive in Potchefstroom expecting to win on Wednesday in spite of losing to South Africa U-19s by 31 runs in Match 2.
Although they were beaten on Friday, West Indies U-19s can look back at their batting exploits with some pride as a spectacular innings from keeper-batter Jewel Andrew got them close to their target. Top order runs will be a priority in this game after the top three contributed only 15 runs against South Africa U-19s.
Seven wickets were taken by three bowlers for West Indies U-19s in Match 2 and left-arm spinner Nathan Sealy will be looking forward to bowling on this wicket again after taking 3/34 and bowling two maidens from his 10 overs. Opening bowler Nathan Edward will need to be more disciplined with his line and length on Wednesday.
Although they lost to South Africa U-19s, there were plenty of positives for West Indies U-19s in their opening game.

It was a heavy defeat for Scotland U-19s against England U-19s in their opening match but it was not all bad news for them. Batting wise there were some positive signs but they will need to find some new ways of creating opportunities with the ball in this game.
Opener Jamie Dunk and captain Owen Gould were the most impressive batters for Scotland U-19s in Match 4 with Dunk hitting three fours in his 40 and Gould making 48 with an innings which included five fours and one six. More sixes will be needed for Scotland U-19s to go over 200.
With England U-19s reaching their target of 175 in the 27th over and losing only three wickets, it was a tough afternoon in Potchefstroom for Scotland U-19s. However, Ibrahim Faisal took 2/30 and he is likely to be a threat again in this game.
Scotland U-19’s will need more from across their batting line-up and their bowlers to be competitive.
Jamie Dunk, Adi Hegde, Bahadar Esakhiel, Owen Gould (c) (wk), Uzair Ahmad, Ibrahim Faisal, Mackenzie Jones, Logan Briggs, Ruaridh McIntyre, Qasim Khan, Harry Armstrong
Both teams come into this match looking for their first win of the tournament and we are expecting West Indies U-19s to get the victory. Scotland U-19s look to be a few levels below the top sides whereas West Indies U-19s have some real match winners.
