WBW vs NBW Betting Tips

  • Although Sophie Devine got a duck in the last match, she is one of the most consistent women’s cricketers with the bat. She is our tip for Wellington Blaze’s highest run scorer against Northern Brave Women.
  • Jess Kerr went wicketless in the win over Canterbury but already has six wickets in this tournament. She is well worth backing as Wellington Blaze’s top wicket taker in this game.
  • Amanda Jade Wellington should get some turn and bounce from this surface. She has an excellent WBBL record and we expect her to be Northern Brave Women’s top wicket taker in this match.

WB-W vs NB-W T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, Super Smash Women 2022

Wellington Blaze Women will take on Northern Brave Women at the Cello Basin Reserve. Match 10 of the 2022-23 Women’s Super Smash gets underway at 11:00 local time on Wednesday 4th January.

Wellington Blaze

It has been an excellent start to the competition for Wellington Blaze who have three wins from three games. They are the only team with a 100% record in the Women’s Super Smash and are top of the table with a game in hand on the two teams directly below them.

WB-W Batting

It was left to Rebecca Burns and captain Amelia Kerr to rebuild for Wellington Blaze in their last match against Canterbury Magicians after openers Thamsyn Newton and Sophie Devine had both been dismissed after 1.1 overs. There are plenty of runs in the Wellington team with the lower-order also capable of contributing.

WB-W Bowling

Defending 146 all out, Wellington Blaze’s bowling attack showed skill and character to get an 11 run win on New Year’s Day. With Kate Anderson hitting 83 not out at the top of the order, the experience of Sophie Devine and accuracy of Maneka Singh were particularly important and both will be crucial again in this game.

WB-W Form

Wellington Blaze are in fantastic form which has carried through from last year’s successful campaign.

Northern Brave

After beginning this campaign with defeats against Otago Volts and Canterbury Magicians, Northern Brave Women got their first win of the tournament with a tight four run victory over Central Hinds. Another win in this game could push Northern Brave Women up to third in the table.

NB-W Batting

The experienced Sam Curtis was the hero with the bat for Northern Brave Women in their win over Central Hinds on Saturday. She hit 50 runs from 36 balls and shared an exciting partnership with Australian spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington (34 runs from 26 balls).

NB-W Bowling

After contributing with the bat, Wellington then showed that she has the accuracy with the ball to be a threat on any pitch. She was very impressive with 3-29 and was well supported by Lucy Boucher (1-23), Kayley Knight (2-27) and Phoebe Graham (2-24)

NB-W Form

Northern Brave Women ended a losing streak with their close win over Central Hinds.

WB-W vs NB-W Pitch Report

The match will be played at the Cello Basin Reserve. We expect the pitch to provide a good contest between bat and ball with a par score no higher than 130.

🏆 Wellington Blaze vs Northern Brave Prediction

Although Northern Brave Women finally registered a victory in their last game, it would be a huge surprise if they were able to follow it up with another win over Wellington Blaze. We expect Wellington Blaze to get on top early in this game and not allow Northern Brave Women to settle with either the bat or ball. Our prediction is for Wellington Blaze to get their fourth successive win in this campaign.
