Western Province 

It has been a poor start to this campaign for Western Province who are currently in seventh place in the table after losing both of their opening games. They lost to Rocks by five wickets before losing to Knights by nine wickets with 37 balls remaining.

WEP Batting

Western Province posted 155-7 against Rocks and were bowled out for 116 against Knights on Thursday. Opener Kyle Verreynne top scored with 35 runs from 21 balls with Daniel Smith scoring a run a ball 31 against Knights. Only three of Western Province’s XI hit double-figures in Thursday’s match.

WEP Bowling

Western Province have taken a combined six wickets across their two matches in the tournament so far. Against Rocks, pace bowlers Abdullah Bayoumy and Tshepo Moreki took two wickets each with Moreki taking the only wicket against Knights.

Western Province have lost all of their last five matches in this and the last campaign.
