Tamil Nadu vs Bengal Prediction
Tamil Nadu’s excellent form so far, and the fact Narayan Jagadeesan has been excellent with the bat, makes it hard to back against the group leaders.
Our Pick Tamil Nadu are favorites to win
Unbeaten table toppers Tamil Nadu will look to complete a perfect Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy group-stage campaign when they take on Bengal in the final match in Group B. The two teams, who sit first and second in Group B so far, meet at Eden Gardens on January 18 and the live action starts at 19:00 local time.
Narayan Jagadeesan was Tamil Nadu’s star man again last time out, smashing 78* from 51 balls in a successful chase of 153 to beat Hyderabad by seven wickets. Jagadeesan also top-scored in the dominant wins against Odisha and Assam that preceded it.
Bengal, meanwhile, have Vivek Singh in top batting form – including him scoring an unbeaten century in their win against Jharkhand – but defeat to Assam last time out leaves them four points adrift of Tamil Nadu and behind on net run rate in the table ahead of this final group game.
