A mouth-watering encounter is on the cards as both Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder have been the two best teams of the tournament. Melbourne Stars are yet to be defeated in the tournament while Thunder have lost two matches to Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat.  Thunders look to have lost some momentum in the last few games. They played their last three games against the three weakest teams of the tournament yet they lost two and barely managed to pull off a win against Hobart Hurricanes. The problem for them has been their batting who’s failed to put up a collective performance. Apart from some runs from Heather Knight and Tammy Beaumont, none has looked stable at the crease. The bowling however is doing well with Saamy Jo Johnson, Samantha Bates, Heather Knight  and Lauren Smith in good form. Melbourne Stars on the other hand have absolutely dominated the tournament Ellyse Villani, Meg Lanning, Mignon du Preez, all have been terrific with the bat.
