A net run rate of +2.783 shows how dominating Sixers have been. James Vince and Josh Phillipe has been their two best batsmen. Daniel Christian and Daniel Hughes have also played crucial knocks. They’re the star of Sixers win over Adelaide in their previous game. Struggling at 59-3 in the 12th over, Christian and Hughes drove Sixers to a solid 177, paving way for a magnificent 38 run win. 

The bowling attack is led well by Ben Dwarshius who’s picked up 7 wickets for the sixers. Other then him Jason Holder, Ben Manenti, Carlos Brathwaite and Steve O Keefe form a formidable bowling line up. Overall, Sydney Sixers are packed with quality players and will be up for the stern challenge against Melbourne Stars.
Rain deprived Melbourne Stars of their third consecutive win as their match against Perth Scorchers was washed out. Chasing 159, Stars would have backed themselves to win the match. Stars heavily depend upon Marcus Stoinis and Glen Maxwell with the bat and the duo hasn’t disappointed their team so far. Both are the top two scorers for the Stars. 

Other batsmen, however, have not made that much of an impact yet. Hilton Cartwright played well against Brisbane Heat but other than him, every other batsmen have been pretty disappointing. Against a strong Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Stars will need all their batsmen to fire collectively. 
Melbourne Stars have plenty of quality options in the bowling department with Billy Stanlake, Dilbar Hussain, Adam Zampa, Nathan Coulter-Nile and all round options like Glen Maxwell and Clint Hinchliffe.

Overall, there is little that separates the two teams and we have a mouth watering encounter on the cards. For the favorites, we would like to go in with Melbourne Stars and they’ve a slightly better bowling line up than Sydney Sixers.
