With Kane Williamson absent due to injury, Sunrisers Hyderabad have fielded the same XI for the last four matches in a row – including the win against Delhi when these sides last met. It could therefore be time to freshen it up, with Shakib Al Hasan among the players pushing for a recall too.
Sunrisers Hyderabad boast this year’s IPL top run scorer so far, with David Warner in superb batting form. He has scored 85, 69, 100*, 10, 15 and 70* in his six innings so far.
Warner has formed a superb opening partnership with Jonny Bairstow so far – the Englishman also has a century to his name so far, on his way to 263 runs in six innings with a strike rate of 161.34. He top-scored with 48 when these teams last met.
With the ball, Sandeep Sharma took 2-21 last time out and Rashid Khan 1-20 – both from their full four overs. Sharma now has a team-high eight wickets so far, while Khan has five. The Afghan leg-spinner also has an economy rate of 5.83.
Mohammad Nabi has seven wickets an even better economy rate, while Siddarth Kaul has six to his name.
Sunrisers bounced back from defeat in their opening game to win the next three in a row. They have lost twice since, however.
They fell victim to Alzarri Joseph’s stunning bowling as they folded for 96 in reply to Mumbai’s 136/7 in the first of those matches. Most recently, David Warner scored an unbeaten 70 in a total of 150/4 against Kings XI Punjab, meanwhile, but they lost by six wickets with a ball to spare.

Delhi Capitals opted for an extra seam option last time out, with Keemo Paul replacing Sandeep Lamichhane in the starting XI, but the Nepalese spinner might return this time on a balanced Hyderabad wicket. Delhi were otherwise unchanged and changes may be minimal this time too.
Kagiso Rabada took another two wickets last time out to move 13 in his first seven matches so far – putting him comfortably clear at the top of the bowling charts.
Chris Morris is their second-highest wicket taker, with eight from five games – including two last time out – while Ishant Sharma and Sandeep Lamichhane have taken five each.
Rishabh Pant has scored 222 from seven innings in IPL 2019, meanwhile, and his strike rate of 166.91 second only to Andre Russell out of the top 15 run-scorers so far this season.
Shikhar Dhawan’s 97* last time out moves his to 249 runs, meanwhile – that was his second half-century – while Shreyas Iyer is one behind Pant with 221 runs so far.
Delhi have got back on track with two consecutive wins, after backing up victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore by beating Kolkata Knight Riders last time out. Kagiso Rabada’s bowling stole the headlines in the first game – the South African claiming 4-21 as Delhi restricted Bangalore to 149/8 on their way to a four-wicket win.
Then, last time out, Shikhar Dhawan led a chase of 179 to beat Kolkata Knight Riders. Dhawan finished unbeaten on 97 as he led Delhi to a seven-wicket win.

Sunrisers’ win in Delhi was their ninth in 13 previous meetings between these two sides. That was their third win in a row against Delhi, having also won both matches last season.
This season’s game saw Hyderabad restrict Delhi to 129/8, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Nabi and Siddarth Kaul all taking two wickets, before Jonny Bairstow ensured they eased to a five-wicket win.
Sunrisers Hyderabad might have lost form in the last couple of games but they have a dominant record against Delhi. David Warner has been in superb form at the top of the order and Sunrisers, in Hyderabad, can get back to winning ways.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are looking to get back to winning ways and they have the batting firepower and the bowling depth to ensure they do that against a Delhi Capitals team they have beaten regularly.
