Southern Brave came up against the first centurion in the Men’s Hundred in Will Smeed on Wednesday. They were not at their best but still look like being one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
London Spirit look like a totally different side in this year’s competition. Captain Eoin Morgan is in excellent form with the bat and he is also getting the best out of all his players.

There were two changes for Southern Brave ahead of their defeat to Birmingham Phoenix. Craig Overton was away playing with England Lions against South Africa and 17 year old spinner Rehan Ahmed was left out. We expect Ahmed to come back into the team in place of George Garton for this match.
After ending the 2021 season with a winning streak and opening this year’s tournament with a victory, it will be very interesting to see how Southern Brave respond to defeat.

There was one enforced change for London Spirit ahead of their second successive win in the 2022 Men’s Hundred. Dan Lawrence was away, preparing for England Lions duty, and was replaced by experienced all-rounder Ravi Bopara. Lawrence will still be unavailable and we expect Bopara to get the nod again.
After winning their only game towards the back end of the 2021 season, London Spirit have now won three out of their last five games in The Men’s Hundred.
