Malaysia Women

With zero wins and zero points from their opening four games in the 2022 Women’s Asia Cup, Malaysia Women are two points adrift at the bottom of the table. Across the four matches, they have lost by nine wickets, 30 runs (DLS), seven wickets and 88 runs.

MAL-W Batting

Elsa Hunter (47 runs), captain Winifred Duraisingam (38 runs) and Mas Elysa (31 runs) are the three Malaysia Women’s players to have scored over 30 runs across the tournament so far. 17 year old Hunter began the competition with scores of 29 not out and one not out but has been dismissed for eight and nine in her last two.

MAL-W Bowling

Medium fast bowler Sasha Azmi has taken a wicket in both of her last two matches. She returned figures of 1-7 against UAE Women on Wednesday and 1-15 a day later in the defeat to Bangladesh Women. Duraisingam has taken 3-61 from four overs over the competition.

MAL-W Form

Malaysia Women were expected to be the weakest team in the tournament and will be looking to avoid their fourth defeat in a row.
