Who will win Scotland vs Bangladesh, Women T20 WC Qualifiers?
Hosts Scotland face the Bangladesh in Group A in the final round of groups-stage fixtures at the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier campaign. They meet at Forfarshire Cricket Club, Dundee, on September 3, and the match is scheduled to start at 14:00.
Having won both matches so far, Bangladesh will guarantee they finish top of the group with a 100 per cent record if they can beat the hosts. Teenage spin bowler Nahida Akter has been in superb form so far, taking three wickets in each of the first two games – including bowling a superb last over to seal victory against Papua New Guinea last time out.
Scotland, however, lost to Papua New Guinea and – though their net run rate puts them second at the moment – another defeat could spell the end of their qualification hopes. Captain and all-rounder Kathryn Bryce has been their star player so far and must rally the team as she looks to add to her 74 runs and three wickets.

SCOW vs BANW Toss Prediction
Bangladesh are yet to win the toss in the tournament and so the Tigers are due this one. Teams have tended to bat first at Dundee rather than chasing a target.
SCOW vs BANW Weather Report
More showers are predicted in the afternoon in Dundee – rain has been the scourge of this qualifying tournament so far.
SCOW vs BANW Pitch Condition
The trend for teams to bat first at Dundee has not been a coincidence. The pitch offers a little more for the batsmen than Arbroath, the other ground being used at this tournament. Run rates have still been low on a slow wicket with bowler-friendly overhead conditions, however.

SCO Women Team News & Playing 11
SCOW Team News
Abbi Aitken-Drummond replaced Megan McColl in the team last time out, in the only change from the team which beat USA in the first match. Hannah Rainey and Ellen Watson are the two players yet to feature. It was the batting that fell short last time out, however, and Scotland may choose to keep the faith given they all proved their worth in the warm-up match.
SCOW Key Players
Kathryn Bryce: The 21-year-old Scotland captain has also been their stand-out player so far, finishing as top batsman and top bowler in each of their two games so far. She scored 29* and took 2-6 in the first game and followed that with 45 and 1-8 from 3.3 overs last time out.
Katherine Fraser: The 14-year-old has been in good bowling form so far, taking 1-8 and 1-13 with her off-spin bowling so far. This will be her tenth T20 international, and she has taken 11 wickets in the previous nine in total.
Sarah Bryce: Arrived at the tournament in top form, the 19-year-old sister of the captain hit 41, 49 and 51 in her three previous innings for Scotland and will want to get back to that form after falling short in the two games so far.
SCOW Team Form
Scotland started the tournament in the form expected of them – scoring 60/3 in a match reduced to seven overs against the USA with Kathryn Bryce hitting 29 of them. Bryce then took 2-6 from two overs as USA posted 30/5.
Their World Cup qualification hopes hang in the balance now though – Bryce hit 45 but Scotland could only reach 101/5 against Papua New Guinea. The captain then claimed 1-8 from her 3.3 overs but she could not prevent a six-wicket defeat.

BAN Women Team News & Playing 11
BANW Team News
After a belated start to their qualifying campaign, Bangladesh have stuck with the same 11 for their two wins so far and could be unchanged again given their good form so far. Nigar Sultana has been behind the stumps, ahead of namesake Shamima.
BANW Key Players
Nahida Akter: Continued her fine pre-tournament form with six wickets in two games so far, claiming 3-12 in the first game and then bowling an outstanding last over to finish with 3-10 last time out.
Fahima Khatun: This Bangladesh side lacks runs and so her 32 from 18 balls last time out, including five fours, was vital. She also bowled economically for the second game running, albeit without taking any wickets again.
Ritu Moni: Another key all-rounder in this Bangladesh team, she claimed 1-3 from her three overs in the first game and followed that up with 2-9 from two overs last time out. She will now want her batting form to match.
BANW Team Form
Bangladesh had to wait an extra day to start their campaign due to rain but have won two from two since. The Tigers bowled USA out for 46, with Nahida Akter claiming 3-12 from her 3.5 overs before Sanjida Islam hit 40 to lead them to an eight-wicket win.
Last time out, meanwhile, Fahima Khatun’s unbeaten 32 from 18 balls – including five fours – was a much-needed injection of pace into their innings as they scored 103/8 against Papua New Guinea in 16.3 overs. Rain meant PNG were set 59 from eight overs but Nahida Akter finished with 3-10, including two in the final over, as they restricted them to 52/5.

SCO Women vs BAN Women Head to Head
Scotland and Bangladesh’s only previous T20i meeting was in the semi-finals of last year’s World Twenty20 qualifier in the Netherlands. Nigar Sultana top-scored with 31* in the Tigers’ 125/6, but that proved more than enough. Only the Bryce sisters reached double figures as Scotland could only score 76/7 in reply – Nahida Akter and Rumana Ahmed each taking two wickets.
