ROC vs WAR T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, CSA T20 Challenge 2022

Rocks will take on Warriors at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. Match 8 of the CSA T20 Challenge gets underway at 18:00 local time on Thursday, October 20th.

After ending the February edition of the CSA T20 Challenge in excellent form and as champions, it was no surprise to see Rocks get off to a comfortable winning start on Tuesday. They beat Western Province by five wickets with 23 balls remaining.

ROC Batting

Janneman Malan, who hit over 200 runs in the last tournament, top scored for Rocks with 60 runs from 43 balls at the top of the order. Skipper Pieter Malan, who hit five half centuries in February, made only 17 runs from 13 balls but keeper-batter Clyde Fortuin impressed with 43 runs from 27 balls.

ROC Bowling

It was an excellent performance in the field from Rocks on Tuesday with all five bowlers used contributing wickets. Hardus Viljoen, Khwezi Gumede and Bamanye Xenxe all dismissed a batter each with Ferisco Adams and Imran Manack getting two wickets each.

ROC Form

Rocks are in very strong form and have won seven of their last eight games in the competition.

Warriors 

The weather prevented Warriors from getting a full game against Knights on Tuesday and they were in a very strong position when it was abandoned. They posted 134-9 and reduced Knights to 21-3 from only 2.5 overs when the rain arrived to halt the match.

WAR Batting

Only two of Warriors’ batters made double figure scores including skipper Wihan Lubbe who made 18 runs from 14 balls at the top of the order. However, it was 20 year old left-hander Jordan Hermann who took Warriors to a competitive total with 67 not out from 45 balls.

WAR Bowling

Although only 2.5 overs were bowled by Warriors against Knights, three wickets were taken by the opening pair. South Africa international, pace bowler Glenton Stuurman took 2-10 from 1.5 overs alongside Beyers Swanepoel who recorded figures of 1-11 from his only over.

Warriors have won only one of their last five games in the tournament.

The match will be played at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. There is something in this wicket for quick bowlers and spinners. Batters will have to work hard for their runs on a slowish pitch.
