Punjab Kings have shown improvement in their bowling but their batting still looks a bit vulnerable. Jonny Bairstow is a big headache for Dhawan as he has been in terrible form so far. We feel PBKS have given him enough chances and it calls for a change in the playing XI. We feel Bairstow will be replaced by Prabhsimran Singh and one of Liam Livingstone or Rilee Rossouw will be kept as an impact player.

- Shikhar Dhawan - Shikhar Dhawan has been ordinary so far. Being the team's senior most batter, PBKS would have expected more from him. Dhawan has played a few good shots but he has lost his wicket soon after. The skipper needs to play sensible cricket and curb a bit of his natural instinct. He needs to emulate Virat Kohli and try and bat through the innings.
- Shashank Singh - Shashank Singh has been a great addition to the team. - Kagiso Rabada – Kagiso Rabada has been brilliant for PBKS. Game after game, Rabada has shown why he is one of the best bowlers in this format of the game. The Proteas pacer has taken seven wickets in five games.
- Harshal Patel - Harshal has been very expensive so far but he showed glimpses of a return to form in the previous game where he picked two wickets for 30 runs. Harshal bowls at death mostly so there are heavy chances of him picking multiple wickets when the batters are going after the bowling. Harshal has good variations thus if he uses them smartly, he can be hard to hit.
- Sam Curran - England’s all-rounder is having a good season this year. In the last match at this venue, he scored 29 off 22 deliveries and picked 2 wickets in 4 overs. He looks in confident form and we expect another all-round performance from him in this clash.
