It will be interesting to see if Punjab opt to give first appearances of the season to their English duo of Chris Jordan and Dawid Malan. Mumbai Indians may be tempted to recall Australian Chris Lynn who hit 49 in their first game of the campaign but hasn’t been selected since.

KL Rahul - he can’t be expected to produce big scores in every innings but every other innings isn’t bad. After making only 4 against Sunrisers, we expect him to return to the touch that saw scores of 91 and 61 earlier in the 2021 IPL.
Shahrukh Khan - The IPL debutant has contributed 90 runs at an average of 45 and top scored for Punjab in the matches against Sunrisers and CSK.

The defeat against Delhi Capitals wasn’t a great surprise which shows that although they have been picking up victories, they are currently still a distance from their best in IPL 2021.
We are backing KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle with the bat for Punjab Kings. It is high time that another batsman took the heat from Rahul but he never seems phased by the challenge.
For Mumbai Indians we are backing their top three in Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav. The team need bigger contributions with the bat and these three are the best candidates.
We are backing Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh and Murugan Ashwin to do the damage with the ball for Punjab Kings. All three went wicketless against Sunrisers so will be keen to fire back in this game.
For Mumbai Indians we have gone with Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and Trent Boult. Chahar has 8 wickets so far and is well on track to improve on his 15 wickets from last year’s IPL.
Mumbai Indians are not in top form but they should prove way too strong for a Punjab Kings side who are struggling in all departments. Mumbai’s bowling attack would scare any batting line-up and Punjab’s recent efforts have not been impressive. We expect Mumbai to return to winning ways in this game.
