PAK Team News
Pakistan have no injury issues to deal with ahead of this second T20 international and so they will have the entire squad to choose from. However since they are coming off a comprehensive win in the last game, we don't expect them to make any changes to their playing eleven.
PAK Key Players
The opening pair of Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman hold the key to Pakistan's batting. Babar, who scored 99 in the second innings of the Abu Dhabi test, cracked a half-century in the last game. Fakhar is currently second in the ICC T20I batting rankings and has a strike-rate of close to 143 in this format. Apart from these two, the hosts will also expect healthy contributions from Mohammad Hafeez and Asif Ali. When it comes to bowling, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim are going to be the main threats for Australia. Imad spun Pakistan to victory in the first T20I with a three-wicket haul and the left-arm spinner is likely to give the Aussie batsmen a hard time at Dubai as well. Shadab is the world's second-best T20 bowler at the moment and he too will be lethal on this spin-friendly surface.
PAK Recent Form
Pakistan's 66-run victory at Abu Dhabi was their fourth successive win in the twenty-over format. They put up a brilliant bowling performance the other night, knocking over the entire Australian batting line-up for just 89. Pakistan have now won 12 out of the 14 T20 internationals they have played this year.
Pakistan Predicted Playing 11
Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Asif Ali, Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Sarfraz Ahmed (c/wk), Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi
Australia Team News & Playing 11
AUS Team News
Skipper Aaron Finch has hinted at making changes to their side for the Friday's T20I encounter. Ashton Agar was taken for plenty in the last game and he could make way for Nathan Lyon. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh is also waiting in the reserves and he could be brought in place of Ben McDermott who got dismissed for a duck.
AUS Key Players
Australia will have to come up with a much better batting display in the second T20I and for that, they will need sizeable contributions from their top order. Aaron Finch is among Australia's best batsmen in the shortest format. The skipper failed to get off the mark last time and he will look to bounce back with a good performance here. Chris Lynn and Glenn Maxwell are both match-winners and the Aussies will be hoping for these two to fire on all cylinders. With the ball, the visitors will bank on the pace of Billy Stanlake and Andrew Tye. Both snared three wickets apiece in the last game while conceding not many runs and the duo will be backed by their team to replicate that performance on Friday. Adam Zampa is their best option from the spin department and it will be up to him to apply pressure on Pakistan in the middle overs.
AUS Recent Form
Australia have been a little inconsistent in the shortest format in recent times. They won their first five T20 internationals in a row this year but have four wins and as many losses in their last eight matches. The Aussies have got off to a poor start in the ongoing series, losing the opening encounter by a big margin.
Australia Predicted Playing 11
Aaron Finch (c), D'Arcy Short, Chris Lynn, Glenn Maxwell, Ben McDermott/Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey (wk), Ashton Agar/Nathan Lyon, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa, Billy Stanlake
