Bahrain

Although they lost their opening clash of the campaign, Bahrain have won each of their matches since and became the first team to beat Canada in their last game. Chasing 161 to win, Bahrain reached their target with eight wickets and five balls remaining.

BAH Batting

There were half-centuries for both of Bahrain’s openers in the win over Canada with skipper Safaraz Ali needing only 26 balls for his 56 runs before being run-out. Fellow opener, David Mathias, played a more patient innings and finished unbeaten on 59. Both batters will approach this game in a strong frame of mind.

BAH Bowling

Medium pacer Rizwan Butt had an excellent match against Canada and returned figures of 3-25. He has taken eight wickets across four matches in this tournament and dismissed the form-batter, Aaron Johnson, for a duck with the fourth ball of the innings on Thursday.

Bahrain are targeting their fourth victory of the Desert Cup in this match.
