New Zealand vs India 4th T20 Match Prediction
New Zealand will bid to restore some pride when they take on India in the fourth match of their five-game T20i series. India have won all three matches so far, and the fourth games takes place at the WestPac Stadium, Wellington, on January 31. The live action gets underway at 20:00 local time.
India wrapped up their series win at Hamilton last time out, winning in the super over thanks to Rohit Sharma, who had already top-scored in their total of 179/5. Kane Williamson hit 95 in reply for New Zealand, but they could only post 179/6 and their bad run of results in super overs continued.
With the series now settled, both teams could look to rotate their options as they look to fine-tune their squad selections for next year’s ICC T20 World Cup. Tom Bruce is set to slot in for New Zealand, for example, while Rishabh Pant is yet to play a part in the series for India.

New Zealand Team News & Playing 11
NZ Team News
Scott Kuggeleijn came into the bowling attack last time out, replacing Blair Tickner, and there will be at least one more change for New Zealand in this match as Colin de Grandhomme is replaced in the squad by Tom Bruce – as planned – for these final two matches. Daryl Mitchell is also yet to be used and could come into the team.
NZ Key Players
Kane Williamson: The New Zealand captain was at his best last time out, as he hammered 95 from 48 balls. He hit 51 in the opening game of the series, meanwhile, and now has 11 T20i half-centuries.
Martin Guptill: Always a danger at the top of the order, with three quickfire 30s in the series so far. He has scored 30, 33 and 31 to set a good pace in the super over, and he will do some serious damage if he can go deep.
Mitchell Santner: The highest ranked of the New Zealand bowlers in the T20i world rankings, he picked up a second wicket of the tournament in the last match and he was economical from his four overs in the previous game too.
NZ Team Form
New Zealand have now lost five consecutive T20 internationals, two of which have gone to a super over. In this series, the last match was the best they have played as Kane Williamson followed up his half-century in the first game by smashing 95 from 48 balls last time out. He and Ross Taylor were out in the final over, however, as New Zealand could only tie the game and Tim Southee was unable to defend 17/0 in the super over.
New Zealand Predicted Playing 11
Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson (c), Tom Bruce, Tim Seifert (wk), Ross Taylor, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Scott Kuggeleijn, Ish Sodhi

IND Team News
Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini and Sanju Samson – a late replacement for injured Shikhar Dhawan – are yet to feature with India unchanged for all three wins so far. Pant could replace Shivam Dube, who missed his chance to impress with the bat last time out and bowled just one expensive bowler. Kuldeep would replace Yuzvendra Chahal if he played.
IND Key Players
KL Rahul: Could not add a fourth consecutive T20i half-century to his current run of fine batting form last time out, but he still hit 27 and then played his part in the super-over triumph.
Virat Kohli: The India captain remains a danger wherever he bats, and his 38 from 27 balls – including a tidy partnership with Shreyas Iyer – kept things ticking last time out.
Rohit Sharma: Back to his big-hitting best last time out, with six fours and three sixes in his 40-ball 65 at the top of the order, before he hit two more sixes in the super over.
IND Team Form
India’s run of T20i series successes continues, with New Zealand joining Bangladesh, West Indies and Sri Lanka on the recent list of teams the Indians have beaten in the shortest format. The tourists have won three from three on this tour so far – Rohit Sharma’s batting the mainstay of their latest win, which required a super over, after opening partner KL Rahul had hit half-centuries in comfortable chases in each of the previous two games.
India Predicted Playing 11
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Manish Pandey, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah
New Zealand vs India Head to Head
India have now won six of their 14 T20 international matches against New Zealand – five outright and the most recent one after a super over. They lost to New Zealand when they last met, but India have been in dominant form this series with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma impressing with the bat. Kane Williamson hit 95 last time out but Mohammed Shami took two wickets from four balls, conceding just a solitary bye in between, as both teams scored 179. In the super-over, Rohit Sharma hit two sixes for India as they hit 20/0 in reply to 17/0.
