New Zealand vs Bangladesh Match Prediction, U19 World Cup
New Zealand and Bangladesh face each other at the JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom, with a place in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup up for grabs. The match takes place on February 6 and is scheduled to start at 10:00 local time.
New Zealand have not reached the final since 1998, while Bangladesh are bidding to get there for the first time. The Tigers have the moral upper-hand too, having beaten New Zealand 4-1 in their bilateral series last year.
In this tournament, New Zealand beat Sri Lanka to finish second in their group behind India, but then chased 239 to win a thrilling game against West Indies by two wickets with two balls to spare to reach the semi-final.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, topped their group after wins against Scotland and Zimbabwe, though they had the rain to thank for a no result against Pakistan that saw them top the group. They faced hosts South Africa in the quarter-final and Rakibul Hasan’s 5-19 helped bowl the Proteas out for 157 to seal a 104-run win.

Toss Prediction
Bangladesh were asked to bat first when they last played at the JB Marks Oval and they could be happy to do the same again with recent matches at the ground seeing the side winning the toss electing to do just that.
Weather Report
Scattered thunderstorms are forecast later in the day, which could cause some delays, but conditions either side are supposed to be generally clear. The chance of rain is only around 33 per cent anyway.
Pitch Condition
The JB Marks Oval has certainly provided some even contests between bat and ball so far, with results not strongly favouring either so far.

New Zealand Team News & Playing 11
NZ U19 Team News
Simon Keene, Joey Field and Kristian Clarke were all brought into the team last time out and hit the three highest scores in New Zealand’s win, having earlier shared seven wickets between them. Those three should retain their places, so New Zealand could stick with the same team.
NZ U19 Key Players
Kristian Clarke: Bowled superbly last time out, taking 4-25 from his 7.5 overs and then made the difference with the bat – hitting 46* from 42 balls at number ten, in a match-winning, unbeaten 86-run partnership for the ninth wicket.
Rhys Mariu: In good batting form so far, hitting half-centuries against Japan and Sri Lanka and then 42 against India. He has 205 runs in four innings so far.
Joey Field: The other half of the match-winning partnership last time out, he scored 38* with the bat, having claimed 2-52 with the ball. In the warm-up game, he took 4-35 against Bangladesh.
NZ U19 Team Form
New Zealand were denied by the rain against Japan, having been in dominant form at 195/2 before play was stopped. They chased 243 thanks to Rhys Mariu’s 86 to beat Sri Lanka, however, but lost by 44 runs to India in a rain-shortened final game.
It set up a quarter-final against in-form West Indies, but Kristian Clarke took 4-25 as they bowled them out for 238 and then hit 46* batting at number ten to snatch a two-wicket win from the jaws of defeat.
New Zealand Predicted Playing 11
Rhys Mariu, Ollie White, Fergus Lellman, Jesse Tashkoff (c), Quinn Sunde (wk), Simon Keene, Beckham Wheeler-Grenall, Adithya Ashok, Joey Field, Kristian Clarke, David Hancock
Bangladesh Team News & Playing 11
BAN U19 Team News
Bangladesh have fielded ten of their 11 players in all four matches so far, and Hasan Murad will hope his economical bowling last time out is enough to earn him the final place ahead of Avishek Das.
BAN U19 Key Players
Rakibul Hasan: Took 5-19 against South Africa to follow up his 4-20 against Scotland. He also took a hat-trick in that latter match and averages 5.80 with the ball in this tournament.
Tanzid Hasan: Hit top form last time out, scoring 80 at the top of the order in the win against South Africa. He hit 71 when Bangladesh last beat New Zealand too.
Shoriful Islam: Took 5-43 when these teams last met in a YODI and claimed his fourth wicket in three innings at this tournament when he posted figures of 1-28 last time out.
BAN U19 Team Form
Bangladesh comfortably saw off Zimbabwe and Scotland but had the rain to thank for finishing top of Group C as they were stuck on 106/9 against Pakistan when the match ended without a result.
Top spot meant they faced hosts South Africa in the quarter-final, and they got back to their best for that game. Tanzid Hasan (80), Towhid Hridoy (51) and Shahadat Hossain (74*) helped them to 261/5, and Rakibul Hasan then took 5-19 as they bowled South Africa out for 157 in reply.
