Nottinghamshire vs Derbyshire Preview & Prediction

Hamish Rutherford had played a great knock of 71 from 40 balls in their first match against Lancashire. Though the opener failed to pick up runs in the following two games, he is expected to put up a good show with the bat on Friday. Unfortunately for Derbyshire, Wes Durston who scored 30 and 47 in his first two games will be unavailable due to injury.

Shiv Thakor with figures of 3 for 17 in four overs was the pick of the bowlers from Derbyshire in the last match. The medium pacer has taken 5 wickets so far in the tournament. Another bowler with five wickets is James Neesham, who had been adjudged the 'Man of the Match' against Leicestershire for his 3-wicket haul and a cameo with the bat. Andy Carter, who took 3 wickets against Northamptonshire, will also be a big threat to Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws and Derbyshire Falcons have met each other four times since the inception of Natwest T20 Blast tournament with the former leading by 3-1. They also have the advantage of playing at Trent Bridge which is their home ground. But they haven't made the best of the starts this year with only one win from three games. Derbyshire, on the other hand, have made an impressive start by winning two of their three games.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws may hold a better record against Derbyshire Falcons, but going by the current form, we predict the latter to win this match on Friday.
