The opening pair of Anton Devcich and Tim Seifert will be crucial for the Knights as far as their batting is concerned. The former had finished as the tournament's leading run-getter last year with 343 runs while the latter also finished amongst the top five batsmen. Skipper Dean Brownlie struck a magnificent 46-ball 99 in the last game against Wellington Firebirds and he too is another key man at the top of the order. The Knights will rely heavily on Devcich with the ball as well. The all-rounder took 15 wickets last term to finish as the tournament's second-best bowler. He is coming off a four-wicket haul and is likely to pose the biggest challenge to Central Stags with his left-arm spin. Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodi, who was also one of the Knights' most consistent bowlers last season, will also be expected to keep the opposition's run-rate in check.

Taylor has scored tons of runs for New Zealand at international level while skipper Bruce is known for his big-hitting abilities. Central Stags seem to have a good-looking bowling attack with Blair Tickner, Seth Rance and Ben Wheeler in their side. Tickner took 21 wickets last season to finish as the tournament's best bowler and he even notched up a four-fer in one of the matches against the Knights. Rance and Wheeler were also impressive with 13 and 8 wickets respectively and the Stags will be expecting a good performance from these pace bowlers.
