New Zealand Team News & Playing 11
NZ Team News
There was a new captain and three changes for New Zealand ahead of the third T20I in Dunedin on Wednesday. As scheduled, Mitchell Santner took over as skipper with Lockie Ferguson, Tim Seifert and Matt Henry coming in for Kane Williamson, Adam Milne and Ben Sears. No changes are expected ahead of this match.
NZ Key Players
- Finn Allen- the 24 year old opener began the series with 34 in Auckland but he has since hit 74 in Hamilton and then highest ever T20 score in Dunedin.
- Tim Seifert- the keeper-batter came into the team for the third game of the series and immediately timed the ball well. He provides quick runs and excellent wicket-keeping for the team.
- Tim Southee- the vastly experienced swing bowler has dismissed an opener in each of the games in the series so far and will get the ball to swing through the air again in Christchurch.
- Lockie Ferguson- the right-arm pacer is often thought of as purely a strike-bowler but in Dunedin he not only dismissed Fakhar Zaman but was New Zealand’s most economical member of their attack.
NZ Team Form
New Zealand have not only won each of the three games so far in the series but their last four matches in this format.
New Zealand Predicted Playing 11
Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Tim Seifert (wk), Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Mitchell Santner (c), Matt Henry, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson
Pakistan Team News & Playing 11
PAK Team News
The visitors have been looking to build towards the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean in June and so even though they are 3-0 down, we are not expecting to see panicked changes for this match. Abbas Afridi is injured with a slight muscle strain.
PAK Key Players
- Babar Azam- the 29 year old right-hander hit eight fours and one six in his innings in Dunedin and he has looked comfortable in every match on this tour.
- Mohammad Rizwan- for his high standards, the vice captain has been poor in this series with only 56 runs so far. However, he averages 47.55 in T20Is and a big score will not be far away.
- Haris Rauf- the pace bowler should get some assistance from this pitch in Christchurch and he has now taken 90 wickets in this format.
- Mohammad Wasim- the 22 year old right-arm fast medium bowler came in for his first appearance of the series on Wednesday and dismissed number three batter Tim Seifert.

Who will win New Zealand vs Pakistan 4th T20 Match?
With Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in their side, not to mention the bowling ability of Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi, it is hard to see how Pakistan are 3-0 down. However, New Zealand are very good at home and we have them as the top side once more.
🏆 New Zealand vs Pakistan Prediction
Pakistan will need to find an answer to Finn Allen’s stroke making in this game and the pressure will be on their bowlers if the New Zealand opener gets going again. We think this match could be the closest of the series so far and it would not be a surprise to see Pakistan improve with both bat and ball. However, New Zealand have found a match-winner in all three games so far and we expect the same again. Our prediction is for New Zealand to win on Friday in Christchurch.
