NZ vs BAN 3rd ODI Match Prediction & Betting Tips
New Zealand and Bangladesh face off for the final time in this ODI series in Napier on Saturday. The series winner has already been decided after the hosts won the opening two matches and they will now go looking for a clean sweep and a 3-0 overall scoreline. Read on as we preview this match. The third ODI gets underway at 11:00 local time at McLean Park.
New Zealand chased down their target of 292 in the second ODI with almost four overs to spare which meant their batters never had to resort to playing unnecessary attacking strokes. The hosts have been a couple of levels above their opponents throughout this series.
Bangladesh extended their losing run in this format in New Zealand by another game and there is very little evidence to suggest that they will be able to turn their form around in this match. So far in the series they have been out bowled and out batted in both games.

NZ vs BAN Pitch Report
There will not be a huge amount of pace in this wicket and any first innings total above 285 will be very hard to chase down in the second innings.
Napier Weather Report
Once again, dry weather is forecast for all of this ODI although there will be humid and cloudy conditions throughout. The temperature will be in the mid-low twenties from start to finish.

NZ Team News
No injuries were reported by captain Tom Latham after the victory in Nelson on Wednesday and we expect to see the same side selected for this game. Finn Allen will be available after returning from the Super Smash but he is unlikely to dislodge either Will Young or Rachin Ravindra in the opening spots.
NZ Key Players
- Will Young - The 31 year old continues to post big scores whenever he is given the opportunity in this format. He hit another eight fours and two sixes in the second ODI.
- Henry Nicholls - The left-handed top order batter made a duck in the opening game of the series but hit 95 on Wednesday and came into the series after hitting four successive scores of 40+.
- Adam Milne - The experienced fast bowler was expensive in Nelson but still picked up a wicket and he continues to have a very impressive record against Bangladesh.
- William O’Rourke - The 22 year old right arm pace bowler had never played in an ODI before this week but will be on a hat-trick when he bowls his first ball in this game.
NZ Team Form
New Zealand still have room for improvements in their performances in spite of two convincing victories..
New Zealand Predicted Playing 11
Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Henry Nicholls, Tom Latham (c), Tom Blundell (wk), Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Jacob Duffy, William O’Rourke, Adam Milne, Adi Ashok

BAN Team News
With their very poor record in New Zealand, and after losing the opening game of the series, Najmul Hossain Shanto announced two changes for the team ahead of the second ODI. Mustafizur Rahman and Afif Hossain dropped out but we expect Mustafizur to come back for this final match.
BAN Key Players
- Soumya Sarkar - The 30 year old opener put a very poor recent record behind him as he hit his highest ODI score in Nelson with an innings which included 22 fours and two sixes.
- Mushfiqur Rahim - As one of the few very experienced players in the squad, the left-hander has a very important role to play in keeping standards as high as possible. He scored 45 runs from 57 balls on Wednesday.
- Shoriful Islam - The opening bowler added another wicket to his impressive tally in the second ODI. He will enjoy the humid conditions at this venue and should get plenty of swing again.
- Mehidy Hasan Miraz - The bowling all-rounder was the most economical of Bangladesh’s bowlers in the last match and he was one of only two members of the attack to bowl a maiden over.
BAN Team Form
The overall showing in Nelson was arguably worse than the first game of the series and if it had not been for Soumya Sarkar then Bangladesh would have been completely thrashed.
Bangladesh Predicted Playing 11
Soumya Sarkar, Anamul Haque, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Litton Das, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Afif Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Mustafizur Rahman

New Zealand vs Bangladesh Betting Odds
The odds for the two teams are the same as they were ahead of the second ODI of the series. That means that New Zealand are 1.20 to complete a clean sweep with Bangladesh at 4.33.
Who will win New Zealand vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI Match?
In the second ODI, only two of Bangladesh’s batting line-up made scores of 20+ and only two bowlers kept their economy rates under 5.50. Whereas New Zealand had many players contributing with both bat and ball. The hosts are clearly the top team ahead of the third ODI.
🏆 New Zealand vs Bangladesh Prediction
There should be a good crowd in for the final international before Christmas in New Zealand and the hosts will be well supported as they target a 3-0 series win. New Zealand’s batters have mastered the conditions far better than the visitors and their bowlers have worked well as a unit whereas Bangladesh have only had a couple of strong performers in each ODI. We are predicting another one-sided game to end the series and we are backing New Zealand to win again.
