While most of the teams are struggling for runs, Melbourne Stars are winning matches on the back of some stellar show with the bat. With Elyse Villani, Meg Lanning, Megan du Preez, they boast of a powerful batting line up. Alana King down the order has also played some crucial innings for the stars, showing the depth in their batting. Hurricanes were bundled out for a mere 82 against Brisbane Heat and followed it up with another miserable performance, managing only 77 against Strikers.  Players like Naomi Stalenberg and Rachel Priest need to come good with the bat. Nicola Carey and Hayley Matthews too need to support their team with some runs. They need runs from their top order to give players like Sasha Moloney and Chloe Tyron a chance to score quickly at the death. Just as inconsistent as their batting, Hurricanes have been disappointing with the ball too. Belinda Vakarewa and Hayley Matthews need to strike early while Nicola Carey, Amy Smith and Brooke Hepburn need to stop the flow of runs. However, it won't be against a strong Stars batting.
