Our Pick Sydney Thunder are favorites to win
Both Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunders have had contrasting results in the tournament. While Sydney Thunders are flying high with 4 consecutive victories, Melbourne Renegades are sliding down the hill with 4 back to back losses.
The Renegades will be desperate to win but against Sydney Thunders, it won’t be easy. However, cricket is a very unpredictable game and there fans can hope that they can turn around the tables and halt this humiliating losing streak.

There was a remarkable improvement in Melbourne Renegades performance in their last game against Sydney Sixers yet it wasn’t good enough to end their losing streak which has now extended to 4 matches.
Renegades batting looks very fragile at the moment. Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch are their two best batsmen, both of them have been pretty disappointing in the tournament. Yes, they did got few runs in the last match but will they be able to back it up with another consistent performance is a highly debatable topic.
Similarly, Sam Harper, Riley Rossouw, Mohammad Nabi are also having a torrid time with the bat. On paper, Renegades are second to none but no matter how big a player you are, if you’re not performing, your team is bound to struggle, exactly what has happened with Renegades.
The bowling was pretty decent in the last match but we’re still uncertain to weather or not they’ll be able to deliver back to back performances.
Renegades anyhow need to pull off a win in their next match to keep their hopes alive in the tournament but to their misery they are up against the best team of the BBL 2020-21.
Sydney Thunders have been absolutely brilliant and are coming back from 4 back to back victories. They have two 200+ scores in the last two matches and the margin of their victories are 129 and 75 runs.
These stats are enough to prove that Sydney Thunders are at the peak of their game. Alex Hales joined the party and smashed a scintillating 71 off 29 in the last match. Usman Khawaja too have two good knocks under his belt in the last two games. Cullum Ferguson, Olivier Davis are also striking the ball beautifully.
In the bowling department, Chris Green, Adam Milne, Daniel Sams, Tanveer Sangha are in top form. The way Sydney Thunders are playing at the moment, even the best teams will struggle against them and Melbourne Renegades is certainly not the best thus they have a very stern challenge ahead of them.

It’s a slow wicket thus spinners have a major role to play. However, there are plenty of run scoring opportunities as well.
The news is not so good as there are some chances of rain on the match day.

Sydney Thunders are at the top of their game and look very strong in comparison to Melbourne Renegades. A quality batting lineup, backed by a fearsome bowling unit makes Sydney Thunders massive favourites in this game.
Wicket Keeper
Sam Harper at 8.5 is our best pick for the wicketkeeper. Harper has a couple of decent knock in the tournament and we back him perform well in the next game.
Batsmen
Alex Hales at 9.5, Shaun Marsh at 9.0 and Cullum Ferguson at 9.0 make up a solid batting order. All of the above three batsmen are coming back from impressive half centuries in the last match.Hales stroked a brutal 71 off 29 while Ferguson supported him well with a solid 51. Marsh was the best batsmen for Renegades and scored a gritty 67 against Sixers
All rounder
Daniel Sams at 9.0, Mohammed Nabi at 9.0 and Imad Wasim at 8.5 will balance our team. We have selected these three all rounders as we feel that they’ll have a big role to play with the ball on a slow Queensland wicket.
Bowlers
Kane Richarson at 9.0, Chris Green at 8.5, Adam Milne at 8.5 and Tanveer Sangha forms a quality bowling unit. Sangha is a real danger man on this wicket and is in scintillating form. Chris Green also picked up 4 wickets in the last match while Kane Richardson was exceptional for Melbourne Renegades against Sydney Sixers.
Captain /Vice Captain
Alex Hales is our preferred captain while we’ll back Daniel Sams as his deputy.
Batsmen:Cullum Ferguson, Alex Hales(c), Shaun Marsh
