Manipal Tigers will take on Bhilwara Kings at The Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Match 2 of the 2022 Legends Cricket League begins at 19:30 local time on Sunday 18th September.

Manipal Tigers

Harbhajan Singh will captain the side which has three English players, swing bowler Ryan Sidebottom, all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas and keeper-batter Phil Mustard in the squad. Pace will come from Australia’s Brett Lee with West Indian all-rounder Daren Sammy expected to deliver with bat and ball.

MNT Batting

The Tigers have strong players in all positions but do look a little light in terms of their batters. We expect to see New Zealander Corey Anderson and Indian Mohammad Kaif opening the batting with South Africa’s Lance Klusener pushed up the order.

Harbhajan Singh will be the main spin bowling threat for the Tigers although the likes of Brett Lee and Ryan Sidebottom will be dangerous if there is any swing. Dimitri Mascarenhas has a good number of variations and could take wickets if the batters don’t treat him with respect.

Bhilwara Kings

The Kings have an excellent range of nationalities in their squad with five Indians, six Englishmen, two West Indians, an Irishman and an Australian. Irfan Pathan will captain the team although the likes of Shane Watson and William Porterfield both have a good deal of captaincy experience.

BHK Batting

After turning himself from a lower-order bowling all-rounder into an international opener across all three formats, we expect to see Shane Watson at the top of the order for the Kings. Nick Compton had a reputation in Test cricket as a blocker but was always far more attacking in white ball cricket than he was given credit for.

BHK Bowling

There are lots of impressive bowling options for Irfan Pathan to turn to across the team with Samit Patel coming into the tournament after taking 13 wickets for Trent Rockets during the Men’s Hundred. Alongside him, there is the pace of Fidel Edwards, consistency of Tim Bresnan and the skills of S.Sreesanth.

This is the first game for the Bhilwara Kings.
