In a high scoring contest on Monday evening, Lions were beaten by North West by four wickets with five balls remaining. Lions posted 174-6, mainly thanks to middle order runs, but had no answer to Senuran Muthusamy’s innings of 60 not out from 29 balls.

Ryan Rickleton hit 22 runs from 13 balls at the top of the innings against North West with Mitchell Van Buuren adding an aggressive 23 runs from 13 balls from number four. However, the bulk of the runs came from Wiaan Mulder (55) and Evan Jones (37).

There were five wicket takers for Lions on Monday evening. Tladi Bokako, Codi Yusuf, Wiaan Mulder and Cameron Delport all took a wicket each with right arm fast bowler Lutho Sipamla leading the attack and recording figures of 2-38.

Lions have won only one of their last five matches in the CSA T20 Challenge..

Titans 

There was a comfortable victory for Titans on Monday afternoon as they beat Dolphins by 34 runs. 19 year old Dewald Brevis led the way at the top of the order as Titans posted 168-6 before Dolphins were dismissed for 134 from 18.4 overs.

TIT Batting

Dewald Brevis is recognised as one of the future stars of South Africa and world cricket and has already represented St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the CPL and Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He top scored for Titans with 57 runs from 44 balls and hit four sixes.

TIT Bowling

Titans bowlers had to be patient against Dolphins and remained accurate in spite of them being 77-1 at one point. Aaron Phangiso took 3-16 with a wicket each for Dayyaan Galiem Junior Dala, Neil Brand and Dewald Brevis. Corbin Bosch and Ayabulela Gqamane were expensive and went wicketless.

TIT Form

Titans have won four of their last five games with their only defeat coming in the final of the last CSA T20 Challenge.
