  • The Foxes have won two of their four completed matches, with three games rained off. Their most recent win was at Grace Road, with Gareth Delany starring against Yorkshire.

Leicestershire Foxes vs Derbyshire Falcons 2020 Vitality T20 Blast

Winless Derbyshire Falcons take on Leicestershire Foxes in the North Group of the 2020 Vitality T20 Blast as last season’s semi-finalists look to find some positives out of a disappointing campaign. They meet at Grace Road, Leicester, on September 15 and the live action gets underway at 18:30 local time.

Leicestershire Foxes have Irish all-rounder Gareth Delany in top form and he led the bowling and batting in a high-scoring, three-wicket win against Yorkshire Vikings. They could not back it up last time, however, with a six-wicket defeat to Durham leaving them on seven points from seven games.

Derbyshire Falcons are still looking for their first win of this season’s campaign, however. The Falcons suffered their fifth defeat last time out – hitting 185/6 chasing 199 to beat Nottinghamshire Outlaws. After last season’s first run to the semi-finals, they have been well below par this season.

🏆 Leicestershire vs Derbyshire Prediction

Derbyshire Falcons have lost all five completed matches so far this season and this is a big opportunity for Leicestershire Foxes to stay in contention for a quarter-final place. As it stands, third place in the North Group will not be enough, but with six more points to play for there is still a chance.
