Kolkata Knight Riders have been very inconsistent in this season of the Indian Premier League. Though they have 3 wins in 5 games, they haven’t played the way they’re known for. Their wins are a result of one or two brilliant performance but as a team they have been a big let-down. This approach can hurt them badly in crucial games. Shubhman Gill, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan, all have performed well but have been on and off in the tournament so far. They haven’t delivered back to back performances. Mohammed Shami is running out of gas, so does Sheldon Cottrell. The plan to play Mujeeb in the last game didn’t work out either. Ravi Bishnoi has been terrific but you need all your players to contribute to get the desired result. For them to beat KKR, they’ll need all their players to perform decently, else they’ll be 6-1 at the end of the match.
