Gloucestershire are favorites to win
Kent Spitfires will take on Gloucestershire in the 2022 Vitality Blast. The game will be played at the Spitfire Ground, Canterbury starting at 19:00 local time on Tuesday June 21st.
Kent Spitfires, the 2021 T20 Blast Champions, are bottom of the South Group after picking up only two wins and losing eight games in this season’s competition. After the Spitfires had beaten Somerset a week ago, there had been hopes that they would pick up some more victories, but they fell to defeats against Hampshire Hawks and Middlesex over the weekend. Hampshire won by 54 runs before Middlesex defeated the Spitfires by 7 wickets. Frederick Klaassen took 2-43 on Sunday but could not prevent the defeat.
Gloucestershire had a disappointing weekend after they lost by 7 runs to Somerset on Friday before their home match against Glamorgan was abandoned without a ball being bowled. The two results have not knocked Gloucestershire out of the top four although they are level on points with Hampshire Hawks in fifth. Wicket-keeper, and England 2021 Test debutant, James Bracey has hit two half-centuries so far this season and his side will be looking to the opener to go big in this game.
Live Streaming: Fans can stream the match on the Fan Code app; the ECB website and app; and SkyGo.
The match will be played at The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury. The surface at this ground has encouraged both batters and bowlers in the Blast this year. A par score will be around 175-180.
