Kenya will take on Nepal in the first game of five of the IT20 series . The game will be played at the Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi starting at 09:00 local time on Thursday 25th August

The hosts are the underdogs ahead of this opening match of the series and we expect them to take the fight to Nepal in this game. They will be captained by 33 year old left-arm spinner Shem Ngoche who is one wicket away from picking up his 49th IT20 wicket. All-rounder Collins Obuya is 41 years of age and made his international debut in August 2001 in an ODI against West Indies. He was also part of the famous Kenyan side who progressed all the way to the semi-finals of the 2003 World Cup. Keeper-batter Irfan Karim has scored 53 not out, 80 not out and 63 runs in his last three matches and is likely to be their main source of runs.

Nepal are the favourites with the bookies ahead of this opening game and they will be captained by internationally renowned spinner, 22-year old Sandeep Lamichhane. The leg-spinner has experience across some of the major T20 leagues for the likes of Melbourne Stars, Sylhet Sixers, Lahore Qalandars, Jamaica Tallawahs and Hobart Hurricanes. Bowling all-rounder Karan KC is a very consistent performer on the international stage and we expect him to provide Lamichhane plenty of assistance. 21 year old opener Aasif Sheikh has been in good form over recent games and will be the main danger for the Kenyan bowlers.
