Galle Gladiators had a good start to the tournament by defeating Jaffna Kings but failed to continue their winning run against Colombo Stars. The batters could only manage 116 in their 20 overs. None of the batters barring Ben Dunk and a bit of Isuru Udana could show any fight. However, just as when the match looked done and dusted, the bowlers stepped up and made the task stiff for Colombo Stars. But the runs were too few to defend and Colombo crawled to a win by 4 wickets in the 18th over. Gladiators have a strong batting and we feel it was just one of those minor blips and the team will put a strong show in the next game.
