Ireland Team News & Playing 11
The probable opening pair of Paul Stirling and Kevin O’Brien along with Andrew Balbirnie and Gary Wilson will hold the key to Ireland's batting. O’Brien is one of the leading run-getters at this ground in T20Is - 107 runs in 5 innings - while Stirling was one of the team's most impressive batsmen in the recently concluded ODI series. Balbirnie seems to be in good nick and skipper Wilson will be Ireland's biggest hope in the middle order. With the ball, the hosts will rely mainly on Mark Adair, Boyd Rankin and George Dockrell to do the job for them. Adair was the pick of the bowlers in the 50-over series with six wickets while Rankin returned impressive figures of 2-39 from 10 overs in the third ODI. The onus will be on these two pacers to pick up early wickets in the powerplay.
Ireland Predicted Playing 11
Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Andrew Balbirnie, Lorcan Tucker, Gareth Delany, Shane Getkate, Gary Wilson (c/wk), Mark Adair, George Dockrell, Joshua Little, Boyd Rankin
Zimbabwe Team News & Playing 11
Hamilton Masakadza has scored the most runs for Zimbabwe in T20Is and has hit 10 half-centuries in the format. The visitors will need the opening batsman to fire and take them off to a brisk start on Friday. They will also have their hopes pinned on Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine who have been two of their most consistent batsmen over the years. Sean Williams struck a fifty in the third ODI and he is the team's key man when it comes to middle-order batting. Tendai Chatara, Kyle Jarvis and Donald Tiripano will be Zimbabwe's best bets in terms of bowling. Jarvis has 19 T20I wickets to his name in 16 matches while Chatara has 15 in 14 matches. The latter is coming off a good ODI series and it will be mainly up to him to provide the early breakthroughs.
Zimbabwe Predicted Playing 11
Solomon Mire, Hamilton Masakadza (c), Brendan Taylor (wk), Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Peter Moor, Ryan Burl, Donald Tiripano, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara
Ireland vs Zimbabwe Head to Head
Prior to Wednesday’s opening match of the ongoing T20I series which ended in a wash out, Ireland and Zimbabwe have met only once in the game's shortest format – in a tight contest at the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh where the former emerged victorious by three wickets.

Ireland vs Zimbabwe Betting Odds
Ireland begin as favorites to win this second T20 international at 1.61 with Bet365 and 1.55 with Betrally while Zimbabwe find themselves as the underdogs amongst the bookmakers. The visitors are currently priced at 2.30 on Bet365 and 2.20 on Betrally.
🏆 Ireland vs Zimbabwe Prediction
Ireland emerged as the dominant side in the ODI series and they will be taking a lot of confidence and momentum with them from that series win. However, they will be wary of the fact that they have never been able to win a T20I game at Bready - they have played five completed matches here till date and have lost all five of those - which is something that will inject some optimism into the Zimbabwean camp. But since the visitors themselves have not been up to the mark in the 20-over format, we are backing Ireland to go 1-0 up on Friday.
