IRE vs ZIM Head to Head
Prior to Wednesday’s opening match of the ongoing T20I series which ended in a wash out, Ireland and Zimbabwe have met only once in the game's shortest format – in a tight contest at the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh where the former emerged victorious by three wickets.

IRE vs ZIM Dream11 Prediction
Ireland's Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling have both been in good touch lately and could make healthy contributions with the bat in this match. Craig Ervine has batted well for Zimbabwe on this trip and is definitely worth picking. Hamilton Masakadza is another batsman we have included in our Dream11 team.
Kyle Jarvis and Tendai Chatara are likely to open the bowling for Zimbabwe and could make a few early strikes with the new ball. Boyd Rankin is expected to take wickets upfront for Ireland which is why he is featuring in our line-up. We have also included George Dockrell in our team.
We have picked Shane Getkate and Sean Williams as the all-rounders in our Dream11 team. While the former has been outstanding with the ball so far, the latter has been amongst the runs on this tour in addition to making decent contributions with the ball.
We prefer Zimbabwe's Brendan Taylor to Ireland's Gary Wilson for the wicketkeeper slot. Although Taylor could not hit form in the ODI series, he is a vastly experienced campaigner and is expected to make an impact with the bat in the shorter format.
We have picked the in-form Paul Stirling as the captain of our Dream11 team.
We have picked Zimbabwe’s Craig Ervine as the vice-captain of our team.

Ireland vs Zimbabwe Prediction
Ireland emerged as the dominant side in the ODI series and they will be taking a lot of confidence and momentum with them from that series win. However, they will be wary of the fact that they have never been able to win a T20I game at Bready - they have played five completed matches here till date and have lost all five of those - which is something that will inject some optimism into the Zimbabwean camp. But since the visitors themselves have not been up to the mark in the 20-over format, we are backing Ireland to go 1-0 up on Friday.
Back Ireland to beat Zimbabwe at 1.61 with Bet365 and 1.55 with Betrally.
