Who Will Win Ireland vs Nepal, 8th T20?
Ireland’s final game of the 2019-20 Oman Pentangular Series in Muscat will see them take on unbeaten Nepal in Muscat. The match will take place at the Al-Amerat Cricket Stadium and takes place on October 9. The live action begins at 09:30 local time.

IRE vs NEP Toss Prediction
Both teams are yet to lose a toss so far, so something has to give in this game. Nepal have elected to field first on both occasions so far, so they may be asked to bat first this time.
IRE vs NEP Weather Report
Once again, temperatures will ramp up into the 30s from very early in the day in Muscat. As ever, the weather will be typical of Oman – hot, sunny, dry and with zero chance of rain during the match.
IRE vs NEP Pitch Condition
Kevin O’Brien’s onslaught last time out proved there are runs to be had in Muscat, even if an otherwise balanced pitch has seen bowlers take wickets too.

Ireland Team News & Playing 11
IRE Team News
With Ireland testing everybody ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier, Simi Singh came into the team and bowled two overs last time out, while Lorcan Tucker kept wicket. This could be a case of fielding the strongest XI, however, so key selection issues will centre around Singh or George Dockrell, and whether Shane Getkate or Craig Young are recalled.
IRE Key Players
Kevin O’Brien: Had issued a few warning signs as he started to tick again before his superb innings against Hong Kong. Ireland’s first ever T20i centurion smashed 12 fours and seven sixes in a 62-ball innings of 124.
Boyd Rankin: Came back into the team last time out and returned figures of 2-21 from his four overs, to move to six wickets in his last three T20i appearances. The giant paceman is now three wickets short of 100 in T20 matches.
Mark Adair: The all-rounder has been unable to show his best form with the bat, but he now has five wickets in three games in this series and eight in his last five T20 internationals.
IRE Team Form
Ireland opened the Oman Pentangular Series by beating the Netherlands – Harry Tector top-scoring as they chased 168 to beat the Dutch by six wickets with ten balls remaining.
They lost to the hosts next up, however – falling to 130 all out in just 16.2 overs in reply to 173/9 after a middle-order collapse. Ireland bounced back last time out, however – Kevin O’Brien hitting 124 from 62 balls in a total of 208/5 against Hong Kong. They then restricted their opponents to 142/9 in reply to record a 66-run victory.
Ireland Predicted Playing 11
Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Andrew Balbirnie, Gareth Delany, Gary Wilson (c, wk), Harry Tector, Stuart Thompson, Mark Adair, Shane Getkate, George Dockrell, Boyd Rankin
Nepal Team News & Playing 11
NEP Team News
Nepal have been unchanged so far, winning both matches they have played. After failing to qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier, consistency may be better than experimentation – as they bid to cement their place in the ICC T20i rankings to avoid having to go through the regional qualifiers next time out.
NEP Key Players
Karan KC: Started the tournament by taking 4-36 against Hong Kong, including three wickets in one over, and then followed that up with superb figures of 4-17 in 3.3 overs against the Netherlands. He now has 29 wickets in 20 T20 internationals and followed up his latest exploits by smashing a match-winning 31* from 14 balls with the bat – including 17 off the final over.
Sandeep Lamichhane: Wicketless against Hong Kong but he was back to his best last time out – taking 4-20 against the Dutch to move to 81 wickets in 59 T20 appearances. A star of the franchise T20 scene, aged just 19, he is set for a huge future.
Paras Khadka: A patient 33 anchored the innings last time out, though he did score too slowly and was rescued by Karan KC’s late hitting. Nevertheless, his T20i century against Singapore last month showed the big hitting he is capable of.
NEP Team Form
Nepal have won two from two so far in this series. They opened with a win against Hong Kong – Karan KC taking 4-36 as they restricted Hong Kong to 125/6 before Binod Bhandari’s unbeaten half-century helped them to a four-wicket win.
Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane then took four wickets apiece to bowl the Netherlands out for 133 last time out. In reply, Karan KC’s late hitting came just in time to seal a four-wicket win with one ball remaining.
Nepal Predicted Playing 11
Paras Khadka (c), DS Airee, Sompal Kami, Binod Bhandari (wk), Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, Aarif Sheikh, Abinash Bohara, Rohit Paudel, Lalit Rajbanshi, Pawan Sarraf
