England Women are favorites to win
India women will face England women in the 2nd T20I of the three match series. The match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and will start at 7:00 PM IST on December 9.
The wicket will once again be a paradise for the batters. Barring the first couple of overs with the new ball, there should be no movement on offer. Spinners won’t get much turn either but putting the ball in right area will help.

India women will were outplayed by England women in the first game. The bowlers had no answers to the Nat Brunt, Daniel Wyatt onslaught as England posted 197-6 while the star studded batting lineup also failed to make an impact as India could only score 159-6. India women need a win to stay alive in the series.
Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodriques succumbed to pressure of a big run chase and fell cheaply in the first T20I. The three are the pillars of Indian batting and if India women to have script a turnaround in the series, the three will have to perform exceptionally well.
Renuka Singh was brilliant in the first T20I and bagged a three wicket haul, giving away just 27 runs. Other bowlers took a hammering as England posted a huge score. The likes of Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma are experienced bowlers and need to come good.
India women suffered a defeat in the first T20I and it won’t be easy for them against the mighty England in the second game as well if they do not play to their max potential

England women started the series with a bang, having won the first game by 38 runs. The visitors though will be aware that India can bounce back in the series as they have enough quality in the team. England will be looking to play with same authority and seal the series in the second game itself.
Nat Brunt, Heather Knight and Danielle Wyatt are batters we feel can do well again. Brunt and Waytt were on fire in first game, scoring 77 and 75 respectively. Knight is also a very good batter.
The bowling will rest on the shoulders of Sophie Ecclestone, Nat Brunt and Sarah Glenn. The three were the best England bowlers in the 1st T20I, bagging three, one and one wicket each.
England women lost two wickets in the first over of the previous game but still posted a strong total on the board, showing the team can bounce back from any situation.
Danielle Wyatt, Sophia Dunkley, Alice Capsey, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Heather Knight (c), Amy Jones (wk), Freya Kemp, Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, Lauren Bell, Mahika Gaur
India women were outplayed in the 1st T20I. Despite putting England under pressure early on, India failed to capitalize. But credit goes to England for bouncing back. England look a well-oiled unit and India will have to be at peak to get through them. We are backing England to win the second T20I as well as the series.
