IND vs ENG 3rd Test Match Prediction & Betting Tips
With the Test series well poised at 1-1 with three further games to go, India and England lock horns once again in the third Test in Rajkot. India took the opening game of the series by 28 runs before India triumphed by 106 runs in the last fixture. Read on as we preview this Test. The game begins at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium at 09:30 local time on Thursday 15th February.
India produced quality with the bat when it mattered in the second Test of the series and, although they will still not be at full strength for this game, we expect their experience in home conditions to be crucial. India will once again be expecting to get a win in this Test.
England left themselves with too much of a mountain to climb in the second half of the Test in Vizag after facing a first innings deficit of 143 runs. They will certainly be competitive again in this game and will take the attack to India but they must produce more runs in the first innings.

IND vs ENG Match Toss Prediction
The best time to bat in Rajkot is always over the first two and a half days so we predict that both teams will want to bat first if they win the toss ahead of this Test.
IND vs ENG Pitch Report
There is a bit of a green covering over the pitch but we do not expect it to last much beyond the first session. The pitch will then dry out and a par score in the first innings will be at least 450.
Rajkot Weather Report
According to the forecast, the temperature will increase across the five days of the match and be over 30 degrees on each day. No rain is forecast on all five days.

India Team News & Playing 11
IND Team News
With KL Rahul still unavailable through injury, and Virat Kohli ruled out of the whole series, Devdutt Padikkal, who has only played T20Is for his country, has been called up to the squad. Shreyas Iyer has been left out of the squad but Ravindra Jadeja is expected to come back after his hamstring injury ruled him out of the second Test.
IND Key Players
- Shubman Gill- the 24 year old right-hander was facing calls to be dropped before he produced his third Test century of his career in the second innings of the last Test.
- Yashasvi Jaiswal- the opener scored 209 of India’s 396 first innings runs in the last game and we can expect him to attack the young English spinners in this Test.
- Ravichandran Ashwin- the spinner went wicketless in the first innings of the second Test but he has taken a three wicket haul in each of the other three innings in the series.
- Jasprit Bumrah- the 30 year old pace bowler has already taken 15 wickets in this series and returned figures of 6/45 and 3/46 in Vizag.

India have put the first Test defeat behind them and now arrive in Rajkot with two wins from their last three Tests.

England Team News & Playing 11
ENG Team News
Shoaib Bashir made his Test debut in Vizag and took four wickets across the game but he is expected to make way for a return of pace bowler Mark Wood in Rajkot. Rehan Ahmed is another option to drop out but his superior batting is likely to mean he retains his spot.
ENG Key Players
- Zak Crawley- the right-hander has ridden his luck in all four of his innings in the series so far but he brings an average of 53.42 from his last 15 innings.
- Ben Stokes- the skipper looks completely untroubled by the knee surgery from November of last year. He has batted very well in both first innings of this series.
- Tom Hartley- the left-arm spinner added another five wickets to his Test tally in Vizag and impressed by going through the tail in the second innings.
- James Anderson- the experienced right-arm swing bowler returned to the side for the second Test and was very accurate. He will be a danger with conventional and reverse swing in this match.
ENG Team Form
England’s defeat in Vizag was their first in Test cricket since late June and they still played with positive intent in Vizag.

Who will win India vs England 3rd Test Match?
It will be interesting to see if India can carry some of the momentum from their second Test victory into this game. England will be confident but player for player India have the strongest side for the conditions in Rajkot.
🏆 India vs England Prediction
So far in this series, we have had two very entertaining Tests and although the score is 1-1, it is fair to say that India have been on top for longer periods and have won more sessions. However, with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s continued absence, England will feel they have a chance. We are predicting another exciting game but are backing India to win to go 2-1 up.
