Yuzvendra Chahal: The leg-spinner is likely to be brought back into the mix after being ignored in the first ODI. Chahal is a street-smart bowler and can change the course of the game by picking wickets in the middle overs.
India's eight-wicket loss at Chennai last Sunday was their third defeat in their last twelve completed matches in the game's 50-over format. The hosts did a pretty good job with the bat in the series opener, posting a very competitive 287 on a slowish Chepauk surface. After their emphatic victory in the first ODI, West Indies don't have a reason to make changes to their current line-up, unless Evin Lewis is declared fit for this game. If the left-handed batsman fully recovers from his injury in time, he will replace Sunil Ambris to partner Shai Hope at the top of the order.
Shimron Hetmyer: He has been the best batsman for the Windies on this tour. He scored the most runs for the team in the T20I series and earned the man of the match award for his superb knock of 139 in the last match.
Kieron Pollard: The West Indian skipper could prove to be a big headache for the Indian bowlers if not dismissed early on. Pollard has the ability to single-handedly win games with his explosive batting and he can be pretty handy with the ball as well.
Sheldon Cottrell: The left-arm fast bowler is having a good tour of India. He was impressive in the T20Is and took the key scalps of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul in the first ODI.
West Indies have now won five of their last seven one-day internationals including the most recently played four in a row. Their batting was the highlight in the first match of the ongoing series; Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer both cracked impressive tons to guide their team to a very comfortable win in the end. The only concern for the WIndies going into the second ODI would be their inability to pick wickets in the middle period of the innings.
