HBH vs MLR T20 Prediction & Betting Tips, BBL 2020
Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades will both be looking to get back to winning ways as the 2020-21 Big Bash League returns with their match at the Blundstone Arena. The two teams meet on December 19 and the live action gets underway at 11.10 local time.
Hobart Hurricanes won two matches in a row, with James Faulkner and D’Arcy Short finding some early form, but they lost to Adelaide Strikers last time out – unable to defend 146 all out. It was their first defeat of the season and means they sit second in the table.
Melbourne Renegades, on the other hand, opened the tournament with a win but suffered a huge loss last time out. Sydney Sixers posted 205/4 and, in reply, the Renegades slumped to just 60 all out in 10.4 overs. It was the BBL’s second-lowest total ever, and the biggest losing margin, batting second, in BBL history.

Hobart Hurricanes Team News & Playing 11
HBH Team News
Ben McDermott batted well last time out as he came back into the team. He may retain his place but Johan Botha could be in line for a return anyway. Keemo Paul and Mitch Owen are in the squad and available too.
HBH Key Players
- D’Arcy Short: Not at his fluent, consistent best yet but the Big Bash batting icon has one big half-century to his name already anyway.
- James Faulkner: Rolled back the years on his way to seven wickets in three games so far, adding two of those last time out.
- Tim David: A tidy return of 105 runs from 63 balls so far, across the first three games, have bolstered the Hurricanes’ middle order in BBL 2020
HBH Team Form
Hobart’s unbeaten start ended last time out. After a 16-run win against Sydney Sixers, and the D’Arcy Short and James Faulkner-inspired 11-run win against Adelaide Strikers, they could not do the double over the latter. Despite Ben McDermott and Colin Ingram each hitting 46, Hobart were bowled out for 146 and the Strikers secured a five-wicket win.
