Glamorgan vs Somerset Match Prediction

Most of the runs can be expected to come from the bats of their top three that comprises Jayawardene, Allenby and Trego. Skipper Allenby has hit two half-centuries in the tournament and he was the top-scorer for his side in the last match. Trego has single-digit scores in his last two innings and a big knock from him could just be around the corner. Jayawardene has fired three times in the last six games and Glamorgan might face a few problems if he gets going tonight.

Somerset will be relying mainly on Jamie Overton and Lewis Gregory in the pace department. Overton has been their most successful bowler with 14 wickets this season and he should be backed for a top-bowler bet. Max Waller could be a threat among the spinners and he can make the batsmen uncomfortable with his deceptive legbreaks. Josh Davey has taken five wickets in the last two matches and Glamorgan may not take him lightly.

Our Prediction

Glamorgan have never been defeated by Somerset in the history of the Natwest T20 Blast. The hosts have wins in all of the three completed fixtures that have been played between them till date, and this includes a victory in the only face-off at Cardiff last year. This year however, both the teams are coming on the backs of defeats in their respective games. While Glamorgan now have two losses in a row, Somerset are looking down and out with five consecutive defeats.

Somerset have been ousted from the competition and they would like to end the season with wins in their last couple of games. But going by the current form, we feel that Glamorgan are better placed to win this match and continue their dominance over Somerset.
