CSK will be without Lungi Ngidi who, along with other current South Africa players, only joined the bubble in recent days and must serve a 7 day quarantine period. Ravindra Jadeja will be available after missing the entire England series earlier this year after breaking his thumb in Australia.

Suresh Raina - The former Indian international has been a mainstay at CSK since the beginning of the tournament in 2008. But for two years with Gujarat Lions during CSK’s suspension, he played every season until last year which he missed. The return of Raina’s runs will be a big plus for the team.
MS Dhoni - CSK’s captain still has a presence about him which inspires his team-mates and instills fear in the opposition. However, the 2020 campaign was the first in which he didn’t contribute a half-century. Dhoni will be keen to show this was just a blip and not a sign of permanent decline.
Ravindra Jadeja - Another player who provides quality across all formats of the game, Jadeja delivered more with the bat than with the ball during CSK’s disappointing 2020 IPL. He will be looking to get back to his bowling form of 2014 when he contributed 19 wickets.

Rishabh Pant - IPL 14 was one to forget with Pant who delivered very little until a 38-ball 56 in the final against Mumbai Indians. However since then, he has taken Australia by storm, obliterated England in all three formats and is now captain. Capitals will be hoping to see more of this and a return similar to the 2018 season when he hit 684 runs.
Steve Smith - if there was any argument about the strength of this tournament, the fact that Steve Smith isn’t guaranteed a starting place should end the debate. Never someone to break six hitting records in this format, expect Smith to be the extremely strong glue in the Capitals order during this year’s competition.
DC Team Form
Delhi Capitals were the side to watch in the first half of IPL 13 before falling away and losing all momentum ahead of the final. They have the players and now need to find consistency at the right times to clinch that first title.
