The opening pair of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Avishka Fernando got Jaffna Kings off to a brilliant start against Dambulla and the result was never in doubt from there onwards. Both players hit half-centuries with Gurbaz going on to take the Player of the Match result. An early breakthrough will be critical against this pair on Monday.

JK Bowling

Defending a target of 241, Jaffna Kings bowlers knew that they could afford a few expensive overs but maintained good line and lengths in Sunday’s win. Binura Fernando took 4-22 to make it seven wickets from his last two matches and he will be raring to go on the Kandy pitch again in this match.
