Chittagong Vikings Team News & Playing 11

Chittagong Team News

Robbie Frylinck appeared to suffer an injury as he bowled just two overs and did not bat against Rangpur Riders last time out. If so, he will be a huge loss for the Vikings after his starring performances so far. If he does miss out, Cameron Delport could return to the starting line-up - he was replaced by Sikandar Raza last time out, with Yasir Ali promoted to open the batting.

Chittagong Key Players

There was little to celebrate for the Vikings in their first game in this fourth phase of fixtures, but Yasir Ali impressed at the top of the order with 78 from 48 balls. It moves him to 195 runs from six innings, including two half-centuries.

Abu Jayed took 2-35 with the ball, meanwhile - dismissing Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers cheaply and showing control none of his team-mates managed, with the exception of Frylinck. He now has 12 wickets from his eight games in this year's competition.

Frylinck has scored runs - including a stunning habit of hitting sixes in the final over - and has picked up 12 wickets so far. He will be a huge miss if he is indeed injured.

Khaled Ahmed has 11 wickets, meanwhile, but was very expensive last time out, struggling against Alex Hales and Rilee Rossouw.

Captain Mushfiqur Rahim's brief flurry raised hopes of a competitive chase last time out, meanwhile, until he was dismissed for 22 from 11 balls. He now has 299 runs in the tournament - only Rossouw has hit more.

Chittagong Team Form

Defeat last time out was Chittagong's first in six games and only their second in this year's tournament so far.

Robbie Frylinck has starred with bat and ball, including the Super Over win against Khulna Titans, while the second fixture against the Titans made many sit up and take notice - Yasir Ali (54), Mushiqur Rahim (52) and Mohammad Shahzad (46) helping them post 214/4 on their way to a 26-run win.

They then beat Dhaka Dynamites by three wickets - Frylinck hitting three sixes in the final over (after claiming 2-19 with the ball) to lead them past their 140 target. Victory against Rajshahi Kings then lifted them to the top of the points table as another Mushfiqur half-century - 64* from 46 balls - powered a chase of 158 to win by six wickets, again in the final over.

The winning streak had to end at some point though - and it did in some style against Rangpur Riders too. The Riders posted 239/4 from their 20 overs, with Alex Hales and Rilee Rossouw both scoring centuries, and the Vikings got nowhere near - finishing on 167/8, with Yasir Ali's 78 the top score.

Chittagong Vikings Predicted Playing 11

Rajshahi Kings Team News & Playing 11

Rajshahi Team News

After losing their most recent game against Chittagong Vikings, Rajshahi Kings shuffled the pack last time out but to no avail. Mominul Haque, Fazle Mahmud and Seekkuge Prasanna all came in, with Soumya Sarkar, Marshall Ayub and Qais Ahmad dropping out. Mahmud's half-century should earn him another shot at least, however.

Rajshahi Key Players

Laurie Evans ended a poor run of form with his maiden T20 century against Comilla Victorians, hammering 104 not out, and followed that with 74 when these sides last met. The Englishman was top scorer in the T20 Blast in 2018 and starred at the Afghanistan Premier League and T10 League too.

Ryan ten Doeschate partnered with Evans in both of those knocks, scoring 59* against the Victorians - and claiming 2-15 with the ball - before adding 28 against Chittagong Vikings. The Dutch all-rounder also took 1-17 from three overs last time out.

Fazle Mahmud's half-century last time out was his first in the format, meanwhile, having returned to the team after a two-week absence.

With the ball, Arafat Sunny has 13 wickets so far and an economy rate of 6.59 runs per over, while Mustafizur Rahman and Kamrul Islam Rabbi have both claimed eight - the former at just 6.02 runs per over. Sunny took 3-22 when these teams last met too.

Rajshahi Team Form

Rajshahi Kings' batting woes returned last time out - dismissed for just 104 to add to scores of 106, 124 and 103 in previous matches too. Even their wins were low scoring ones - dismissing Khulna Titans for 118 in one seven-wicket win, before Mustafizur Rahman bowled three dot balls in the final over as they defended 135/8 to beat Rangpur Riders by five runs.

They then defended 136/6 against Dhaka Dynamites, with Arafat Sunny claiming 3-8 as the Dynamites were restricted to 116/9.

Better batting followed - Laurie Evans scoring 104* and Ryan ten Doechate 59* in a total of 176/3, before Kamrul Islam Rabbi's 4-10 helped earn a 38-run win against Comilla Victorians. Evans then scored 74 from 56 balls against Chittagong Vikings, but the bowlers could not defend 157/5 in an eventual six-wicket loss. And it is now two defeats in a row after their batting collapse against the Sylhet Sixers.

Rajshahi Kings Predicted Playing 11

Laurie Evans, Mominul Haque, Fazle Mahmud, Ryan ten Doeschate, Zakir Hasan, Christiaan Jonker, Seekkuge Prasanna, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Arafat Sunny
