Toss Prediction
The pitch at the Newlands has tended to offer more assistance to the bowlers later on in the evening. Moreover, since all the three matches of the Mzansi Super League played at this ground have been won by the side batting first, the team that wins the toss here in this match is more likely to bat first.

Cape Town Blitz Team News & Playing 11
Cape Town Blitz Team News
Cape Town Blitz brought in wicketkeeper-batsman Kyle Verreynne in place of off-spinner Dane Piedt for their previous match against Jozi Stars. Verreynne is expected to be retained for this Friday's clash against Paarl Rocks and his presence in the playing eleven will keep Quinton de Kock free from wicketkeeping duties and allow him to play purely as a batsman. The Blitz may be coming off a big defeat, but we don't expect them to panic and make changes to their line-up ahead of this game.
Cape Town Blitz Key Players
Cape Town Blitz seem to be heavily reliant on their opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan when it comes to batting. Both are among the tournament's top three batsmen with 228 and 279 runs respectively. Malan has scored 77 runs from his last two innings while de Kock cracked a ton last Saturday against Tshwane Spartans. The team, however, will also expect healthy contributions from their skipper Farhaan Behardien in the middle order. Dale Steyn, Nandre Burger and Mohammad Nawaz are the key figures in this Cape Town bowling group. Steyn has picked eight wickets in six matches and he claimed the best figures of 3-0-21-2 in the reverse encounter against Paarl Rocks. Burger too has been impressive with five wickets in two matches and he was the pick of the bowlers last time against Jozi Stars. Nawaz has a pretty good economy rate of 6.78 and the off-spinner could put pressure on the Rocks with his miserly spells.
Cape Town Blitz Recent Form
Cape Town Blitz, despite going down to Jozi Stars last time, find themselves at the top of the MSL 2018 league standings with five wins, two losses and a washout from their eight encounters. They were a bit below par with both bat and ball in the previous outing. Their bowlers first leaked plenty of runs and allowed the Stars to rack up a huge total and then their batsmen succumbed to the pressure. Before that game, the Blitz inflicted a heavy 60-run loss on Tshwane Spartans at Centurion.
Cape Town Blitz Predicted Playing 11
Quinton de Kock, Janneman Malan, Dawid Malan, Farhaan Behardien (c), Asif Ali, Kyle Verreynne (wk), Andile Phehlukwayo, Mohammad Nawaz, Dale Steyn, Malusi Siboto, Nandre Burger
Rocks Team News & Playing 11
PR Team News
Paarl Rocks have been bolstered with the return of all-rounders Cameron Delport and Dwayne Bravo who replaced Henry Davids and Grant Thomson in the last game against Tshwane Spartans. Both of them will probably be retained for this upcoming match against Cape Town Blitz. Although the Rocks ended up losing to the Spartans, we don't expect them to make any changes to the current line-up.
PR Key Players
Faf du Plessis has been the most consistent performer with the bat so far for Paarl Rocks. The skipper has cracked two half-centuries in the tournament and one of those was hit in the reverse encounter against Cape Town Blitz. While he is definitely the key man in this batting group, the team will also expect Aiden Markram and Vaughn van Jaarsveld to make significant contributions. Dwayne Bravo has made a promising start to his MSL campaign and he is a vital cog in both batting and bowling departments. Bjorn Fortuin, Tabraiz Shamsi and Dane Paterson have all bowled well and the Rocks will be counting on them to deliver the goods once again. Fortuin and Paterson took four and three wickets respectively in the earlier clash against the Blitz. The former is among the tournament's top five bowlers and the left-arm spinner has a good chance of claiming the best figures again. The Blitz will also be wary of Shamsi who is coming off a three-wicket haul against Tshwane Spartans.
PR Recent Form
Paarl Rocks are currently fourth in the MSL 2018 points table after winning three and losing four out of their seven league encounters. Their previous match versus Tshwane Spartans was a closely-fought contest which they ended up losing by four wickets. Prior to that game, the Rocks suffered a 48-run loss to Nelson Mandela Bay Giants before handing a nine-wicket thrashing to Durban Heat at home.
Rocks Predicted Playing 11
Aiden Markram, Cameron Delport, Faf du Plessis (c), Vaughn van Jaarsveld, Mangaliso Mosehle (wk), Dwayne Bravo, David Wiese, Bjorn Fortuin, Dane Paterson, Tabraiz Shamsi, Tshepo Moreki
