CMW vs AHW Betting Tips

  • Amy Satterthwaite hit 50% of Canterbury’s runs against Otago Volts and the skipper is our tip for their highest run scorer against Auckland Hearts.
  • Amy Tahuhu has experience playing across some of the top franchise tournaments and she is our pick for Canterbury Magicians’ top wicket taker in this match.
  • Katie Perkins enjoyed some time with BBL squads earlier this season and she is well worth backing as Auckland Hearts’ highest run scorer against Canterbury Magicians.

CM-W vs AH-W T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, Super Smash Women 2022

Canterbury Magicians Women will take on Auckland Hearts at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch. Match 3 of the 2022-23 Women’s Super Smash gets underway at 13:50 local time on Monday 26th December.

Canterbury Magicians

The Magicians got off to a winning start in this campaign when they won the first match of the 2022-23 Women’s Super Smash against Otago Volts on Friday afternoon at the Bay Oval Mount Maunganui. Their victory margin was 14 runs and there are lots of areas they will be looking to improve on in this game.

CM-W Batting

Not for the first time in her career, Amy Satterthwaite was the dominant batter for Cantebury Magicians in Match 1 and we expect her to play the same role in this clash. She will enjoy batting on this wicket in Christchurch after hitting the only six of the Magicians’ innings on Friday.

CM-W Bowling

Melissa Banks took three, with Gabby Sullivan and Amy Satterthwaite picking up two wickets against Otago Volts. 21 year old Banks was very impressive but so was Amy Tahuhu who went wicketless but conceded only 16 runs from her four overs. Tahuhu will enjoy the additional pace in this pitch.

CM-W Form

Canterbury Magicians have won two of their last three Super Smash games and will go top of the table with a win in this match.

Auckland Hearts

The Hearts finished in third place in last year’s Women’s Super Smash group stage but were knocked out by Otago Sparks in the Elimination Final. They won five of their games in the league and will be confident of getting a win against Canterbury Magicians in this fixture after finishing four points above them last year.

AH-W Batting

Auckland Hearts have two players in their squad who hit over 200 runs in the 2021-22 campaign. Katie Perkins hit 253 runs, including one half-century, with Lauren Down making a top score of 66 not out. Perkins hit 64 in a one-day match last week and comes into this game in strong form.

AH-W Bowling

Taking wickets was an area that Auckland Heart will need to work on in this year’s tournament after Irish international Arlene Kelly was the only player to pick up 10 dismissals in the last campaign. However, she has not returned for this season and all eyes will be on the experienced Holly Huddlestone who provided net bowling during the WBBL.

AH-W Form

Auckland Hearts have won only two of their last five Super Smash fixtures.

CM-W vs AH-W Pitch Report

The match will be played at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch. Expect to see a pitch which turns a little for the spinners but is also one paced and excellent for batting on.

🏆 Canterbury Magicians vs Auckland Hearts Prediction

This should be an excellent clash between Canterbury Magicians, who have already picked up their first win of the campaign, and Auckland Hearts who finished one place above them last year. We expect Amy Satterthwaite’s batting to be the key difference between the teams and we are predicting Canterbury Magicians to get their second victory in two games.
